I did finally convince my one friend to watch it. He finally admitted it was really good, even if it wasn't quite his thing. Another friend seemed to watch it of his own conviction, and got hooked on it.

The piece is called The Colour You Bleed - in it, Blueblood gets kidnapped by a neighboring country as part of a plot to reduce Equestria's influence in the region. He get's dumped in the middle of the country, and eventually gets taken in by a veteran soldier. Meanwhile, Celestia finds out about the plot, and things eventually come to a head between Equestria and the other country(called Aloa), leading to a war.

Oh, and Blueblood's horn gets cut off at the end of the first chapter.

It's not super dark, but most assuredly darker than MLP proper. The first two chapters just got posted on Equestria Daily yesterday, it's near the top of the second page I think.

It isn't really all that dark - but I had to include the tags, just for a couple of events, like the aforementioned de-horning.

Well Kegisak, Your fanfic does sound intresting, but since its on equstria daily I'm gonna have to wait awhile because at the moment I have to use a wii for internet, and google docs does not work on the wii. And if your wondering how I read the darkfics I mentioned, I use to have a laptop, but it's having problems right now.

I watched the pilot episodes today. Hmm...I don't really know what to say. It has a very nice animation, that's for sure and how TS met with other ponies was very funny and cute. The whole finding the Elements, however, felt a tad bit Anvilicious as it went on, but nothing intolerable. Overall, I still don't see what's the buzz about this I'll have to watch further to make any judgements.

Guess I'm part of the herd, now. Huh.

The pilots aren't the strongest parts of the show, atleast towards the end. And I mean both seasons. Though Season 2 two part pilot was great, untill it got near the end.

It almost seems like they had to cut it short and rewrite things quickly.

Anyhow I'd say that give the show 2 or 3 tries before judging it. Picking episodes at random is ok too, since that's how they intended it to work, apart from pilots.

Be assured, I always watch at least five episodes before judging a show. It has a nice premise and if it gets better, I think I will like it.

You can always just Watch It for the Meme too.

Heh, Fluttershy was really darn cute in her introduction.

This series in general has this...anime-like feeling, I don't know why though.

I already sort of described it as "Lucky Star, but with ponies and some fantasy adventure."

Oh yeah, I totally forgot. Someone brought mettwurst (a spiced sausage with some horse-meat in it) to the meetup. We ate Fluttershy.

Every single photo that was taken with me around had me either behind someone or then I was so far away you couldn't see who it was at all. And since I had to leave early I missed out on the final group photo.

So you know what? I absolutely adore the voice acting in this show. Especially Tabitha St. Germain. Rarity might not be my favorite pony, but she certainly has one amazing voice.
