Yeah, but that was not the problem. The problem is that Rarity can be bossy and more than a little oblivious about other people's feelings (see also the incident at the Young Flier Competition), while Fluttershy is shy and unassertive. Unless one of the two changes radically, I just don't see it.

If one wants to go for Opposites Attract, why not consider Flutterinkie (Pinkieshy?) instead? That would be hilarious

As for the Rarity/Fluttershy thing a page or so back, I think that it actually could work despite their differences. Because from what we've seen, Fluttershy and Rarity both care for each other a great deal, enough so that I think that they'd try to change for the better for each other. After all, Rarity dropped all pretenses of Fluttershy modeling as soon as she realized Fluttershy didn't like it.

You're talking about a show where most of the cast is psychologically questionable somehow. I mean we've got no self esteem, antisocial shut-in who frankly got lucky, crippling OCD, a head and vindictive streak each the size of Cloudsdale itself, this, and outright bugshit insane. Not to mention both of the local royalty have been known to sabotage public gatherings for giggles.

An Arabian is a breed of horse, as I recall. So I suppose you can't make a pun out of it, in the sense that it's a pun by its very nature.
