I don't really get it either. I liked it, and I felt like kind of a stretch to apply it to religion.

But I mean, I can see where they're coming from. Given that the lesson at the end is something along the lines of "Sometimes we have to believe in something we just don't understand", I can see the parallel. But I don't agree.

It sort of feels like a religion message, but given the situation it's more of a "Don't be a tightass about science when your friend is a borderline eldritch beast in an abusive relationship with science."

The only thing I didn't like about Over a Barrel was this nagging notion that that totally could have happened if the colonials didn't have a strong tendency to be ethnocentric exploitative assholes. And fought wars with pies. And, you know, didn't have smallpox.

"Over a Barrel" is kind of dodgy because it attempts to apply an idealistic fantasy solution to (an obvious fictionalised version of) a real world conflict. It's obviously well-meant, but I can see why some people might have been offended. As with "Feeling Pinkie Keen", it was kind of an ambitious concept to tackle in a children's cartoon, and YMMV on how effectively they pulled it off.

Applejack is probably my favourite pony, but lately I've been finding it harder to choose between her and Pinkie, Twilight and Fluttershy. But I like them all.

Anyways, If you were allowed to come up with an idea for an official episode, what would it be? I would have an episode that pariodies the whole bronys vs trolls internet war without getting into the squicky details {I.E.pony porn}. Like maybe have the bronys be creatures who love ponys to the point of obsession, though there would also alot of more reasonable ones who like the ponys as friends as well as the happyness they tend to inspire. The trolls would be, what else, litreal trolls who hate ponys because of the happyness they inspire and because of how colorful and cute they are. It would get to the point were both sides end up in ponyvile and chaos and hilarity ensure.

Pinkie becomes a unicorn.

Hilarity Ensues.

Or Pinkie becomes a pegasus and Rainbow Dash goes completely bonkers.

Or, through a freak laboratory accident, Pinkie inherits Discord's powers.

Pinkie becomes the writer.

I'd just beg the author of Moonspire Run to let them make an episode out of it. It's one of those ones that kinda begs to be put to the screen. Also Dash being badass.

...I think I have a problem.

We made cupcakes tonight. I had difficulty not spouting references that no one would get.

I discovered Eurobeat Brony two days ago when I saw Discord. That and Luna have pretty much been on repeat in my head ever since.

I've been trying to resist the urge to fill up my computer with pony music. So far I've mostly succeeded. By which I mean I've failed one song at a time.
