OK, I saw the new episode. Some spoilery comments follow:

I was completely wrong about the Luna guess. Oh well.
The first part of this new episode, up to and included mass-spammer-Celestia, was really quite enjoyable. Discord is an excellent villain, and Chaos!Poniville was pretty cool.
The last part and the ending, however, were ridiculously rushed. I mean, come on — Twilight using her magic to mindrape (or de-mindrape, or whatever) her friends? And then Discord staying there like a chump while the mane 6 do their obligatory short speech on the value of friendship and then blast him with their magical beam? And then the same beam somehow repairing all the damage that Discord had done? What is this, Sailor Moon?

She restored the memory of what made them friends in the first place, pretty powerful stuff right there, Friendship and the memories that come with it, you gotta admit, all those letters that Twilight wrote finally paid off

Discord wasn't worried at all because technically speaking, If it weren't for Celestia, he would've won, it was his arrogance that led to his undoing, Just think about how he literally gave the answer to his own riddle

Not much else you can do when you have bad guy facing off against the good guys, this isn't supposed to be "That" complicated mind you

: Yeah, the letter idea was good. But using a magic spell to restore the memories (and, in the case of most of the mane 6, off screen) felt cheap as hell. I think that this episode would have been much better if it had been split into two, and if Twilight had restored these memories through non-magical means.

It would have made Discord's defeat less "lame" if he had, say, teleported ten meters to the left to evade the Friendship Supernova, only for the rainbow to turn and hit him regardless. Just to show that at least he tried.

Nevertheless, AWESOME!

Now we need to content ourselves with Ask Discorded Character blogs for three weeks while we wait for Season Two to begin properly.

Anyway, awesome. From start to finish, IMO.

Watched it just now.

Better than Season 1 pilot, I say.

Just why did Discord sit there is a bit baffling. Yes, he was arrogant and thought he had won already, but is he just colorblind and didn't notice the return of their colors? Even Spike noted on the greyness at first.

Oh well, atleast the animation and Discord's shenigans alone are very entertaining. Only he can drink a glass of chocolate milk, and only the glass.

I agree with Kerrah. FIM has managed to take the common six girl ensemble and make them likeable and entertaining.

Hmm, of all the fanartists, I think cartoonlion is one of the ones that stand out the most, and in a good way.
