I don't think it's at all likely this is actually the final season, as the show is immensely successful right now. The season finale of season 2 had like 400% it's expected ratings or something crazy like that. Unless Hasbro is deciding to sell the rights to the show for some reason I don't see why they wouldn't keep it going.

Psst, I'm not Ace of Spades.

I wonder. This opener seems pretty adventurous. Is it possible that there will be a whole arc this time instead of the usual slice of life episodes?

They'd be fools to end it now. As it gathers more and more momentum.

I'm basing the idea off the "thirteen episodes makes 65 in total" idea. Yes, I know some shows are capable of going past 65 (Kim Possible for example, though I'm not counting that because it's next season was mostly backed through massive petitions... Probably Spongebob.) but I can't seem to shake the idea off.

yeah the 13 episodes is still worrying, but, no bucking way in tartarus would Hasbro pull the plug on FIM now, given they just jump started there hype/merch machine into overdrive. And given some of the lyrics, i got the impression she didn't KNOW if she had passed or failed yet, but it was something she didn't think she had.

@Stevebat: We don't actually know if the scenes we've been shown are from the opener or not (unless there's new info I haven't seen). Besides, every season opener so far has been an adventure story so there's no reason to read into that.

@Psyga While normally, that would be true, no one is stupid enough to kill off something at the very same moment that they ramp up their marketing and community outreach for it. You don't kill the goose that lays the golden eggs, and these guys know that it lays golden eggs.

The comics will feature entirely new voice actors, if any at all.

But if they have voice acting, why do they wear glasses?

Speaking of spoilers. This Bingo Chart already has several hits.

Aww man, you need an account to view it.

Golden? this thing is laying gold coated, diamond studded, platinum cored eggs that each have a cold fusion reactor in them. Any exec that cans a show THIS big this early would be kicked so hard out the door it might very well rip the time space continuum hard enough to open a portal to Equestria.

I'm interested in the idea of having hands, not in romancing beings that have them. It's not like I have a hand fetish or something.

I'm not talking romance. I'm just saying, you could totally experience what it's like to have hand vicariously through Iron Will!

Yeah, the original version seemed more straightforwardly wonderous and happy; the second one made Wonka kind of creepy.

Wonka is supposed to be creepy. I liked the second movie a lot better.

In all seriousness, though, that Epic Crossover Time thing is going to be hilarious. Jackie Chan Adventures was one of those things that should have been a cheap cash-in, but somehow wasn't, and instead became awesome.

Imho I liked the first one better. If for nothing else, Gene Wilder was an absolutely amazing Deadpan Snarker. And my Childhood probably has something to do with it.

If I wanted that I could just talk to Spike. He has hands. Well, they're actually claws, but close enough. It just isn't the same as having your own.
