YES. I just watched this show thanks to 4chan.

I never thought I'd thoroughly enjoy a My Little Pony show but...this was absolutely adorable.
Chances are, I'm not actually wearing any pants right now.

I've never seen the 80's one myself. Actually, I had absolutely zero experience with My Little Pony before this, but this show managed to hook me anyways.

^Do you even have to ask?

Yeah, it's cute. Ridiculously and fantastically cute.

Wait... this show still has a fanbase?

I have no opinion on it, I'm just amazed that it's somehow managed not to die yet.

^^Well, at first, I just watched it because Lauren Faust made it. I'd never watched any of the other varsions or had any of the toys. But the show has some nice animation and voice acting... And it's super adorable. So I like it.

Also, I thought it had somewhat of an overarching plot and was going to be like Sailor Moon ...with ponies. Instead, it looks like it'll just be cute ponies doing cute pony stuff.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

They did say it'll have villains, though.

It's reeeeeeealllly good. The characters are actually funny. The animation rocks. And the music isn't annoying(unlike the 80s version). Part Two of the pilot episode actually moved me to tears, so I think it deserves a Crowning Moment of Heartwarming entry. I think a lot of guys and non-fans of My Little Pony are actually admitting to liking this version. I think this show will get me spoiled because the other incarnations are just so cheesy by comparison. Also the whole elements of harmony sequence is so totally Crowning Moment of Awesome. Turbo charged Rainbow of Light, indeed.

Lauren Faust has been talking a lot about the show. Apparently it'll take on a slice of life format but that some villains will appear here and there and that the writing quality will still be quite good.

That has the most blatant The Power of Friendship piece I've seen in a while, I think. xD

I've enjoyed the two-parter pilot. I suppose I'm optimistic so far. I'm reviewing/abridging it at http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?p=13005403#post13005403

So how about that hilarious metrosexual sea serpent? In a kids show no less. Can anybody come up with a good trope for that?

Saw the newest epiosde... and now, I have the feeling that many plots are going to be R-E-C-Y-C-L-E-D, RECYCLED.

Oh so it uses basic story types we've seen before. It reminds me of Tiny Toons, actually. It's still an awesome show.

It's so...cute. And funny. It's like my favorite Cartoon Network shows, only everything's pretty, runs for 22 minutes and the characters aren't contractually obliged to be jerks.
Well ain't there one damn song that can make me break down and cry?

I LOVE THIS SHOW!

I'm actually considering buying toys based on the redesigns. Thanks, Lauren Faust. Thanks for turning me into a SWEEEEETTRANSVESTIIIIITE.
I think John K. is funny. I share personal information with people I trust. I have severe mental and emotional problems. Deal with it.

The ending of the latest episode was the SINGLE GREATEST TWIST ENDING EVER. I actually didn't see it coming. I'm just...in awe.

But there were rumors spreading about an overarching storyline, and I have no reason to believe it at this point, especially considering the lack of evidence supporting it.

I went into this show thinking I was going to hate it, because I have disliked all the My Little Pony shows since the first ones.

...I want to go buy ponies now. And this show on DVD. God damnit Hasbro. God. Damnit. [lol]

4chan's having a blast making memes out of all the wonderful faces the ponies makes.
It didn't pass - it didn't pass - it didn't pass from me. I drank it when we met the gas beyond Gethsemane.

Almost everytime I go on /co/ there's a thread full of this show's screenshots.

And I'm LOVING IT.

Yeah, /co/'s had like a billion thread about My Little Pony. And that's wonderful. I have a tab open to one right now.

And I've somehow managed to get my little brother hooked on the show, now. His favorite pony is Applejack... but the poor kid doesn't even realize that Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy are the best.
