Something to remember was that Blueblood approached Rarity initially, not the other way around. He showed interest, and then proceeded to act like a jerk. I doubt he was trying to "teach her a lesson" or anything like that. Now, of course Rarity shouldn't have been so naive to think that he would be a perfect Prince Charming, but I wouldn't fault her with anything more than fantastical romanticism.

Not as I remember it. She chased after him and found him in the gardens. He may have struck up conversation, but her interest was pretty clear since she followed him away from the bulk of the party.

It's down to the mood and tone of the character, really.

@Bad When did I say it did? I'm just saying that Blueblood initiated their time together himself without ever having met Rarity, so the idea that he did what he did specially to teach her a lesson doesn't hold much water.

@Mousa: That seems to be a rather broad assumption. He could have easily made an attempt to climb the ladders on his own, for all we know. Who can say why, perhaps he simply had opinions he wanted to share and it happened naturally, as it did with Rarity - she didn't seem to make a huge effort, it happened naturally when that first recommendation was made.

Sorry, I think I've forgotten why I asked to begin with.

I think I'm just trying to put off applying for more companies. It's hard to work up the motivation these days...
