Nightmare Moon made Wheatly look like a brilliant strategist. I mean seriously Trying to scare the ponies to death at the prime of their youth?

Calvin and Hobbes just doesn't look interesting... at all.

I don't give a fuck about being a kid, alright?

@ Chadman: I don't know the context of that, but even still it's pretty sad. I like the music.

@Ginger And everything is subjective. I agree with JT, but no one is forcing you to. You were just having a friendly debate until you started USING CAPS and getting all defensive.

@Steve Ponies are a superstitious and cowardly lot.

I love the arc where he adds a morality dial to the Duplicator. You're thrown in without knowing what's going on, and you're like, what's going on?" just like everybody else.

Yeah, my favorite arc is either that or the one where he uses the time machine to try to retrieve his homework from the future.

I remember Calvin and Hobbes comics but never really thought much of them.

Now I think about it, I have absolutely no idea what kind of things I did as a kid.

@Fallen: Ginger seems interested in Catherine at least, but I don't frequent often to know stuff he's actually interested in.

I just like revisiting old Calvin and Hobbes stuff just to see what jokes I can actually understand now.

I think one of my favourite things about C+H as a kid was that I was actually under the impression that Hobbes was 100% real, and I always wondered why he was a stuffed tiger with other characters around. I think I started convincing myself he was some sort of shapeshifter, or something?

I'm still not entirely sure whether he's supposed to be real, perhaps because I simply don't want to believe that he wasn't.

The icing on the cake was how Hobbes wrote the story about it and got an A.

And of course, Calvinball. You just know Pinkie would love that.

[up]I'm pretty sure Watterson left that intentionally vague. I was basically in the same camp as you, just because it's more amusing to imagine that all the stuff Calvin goes through is real.

@Lurker It just really bugs me that someone could think that she's not being thoughtless in that ep. It boggles my mind.

I can't argue, because he keeps bringing up the "They're willingly being there" thing. Have you people never heard of Peer Pressure, of intimidation tactics, of that principle wherby people are compelled to follow pack behaviour

@CDRW Little alien was their pet for the episode. It can't survive on Earth. The shows villain sent it to Earth to die and explode. They had to let it go.

Hey, ginger? Please read some Calvin.

If I'm your friend, you will do this for me.

What you said about not caring about being a kid really hurt. Try it, OK?

You do know the premise of This Is Spinal Tap, right? It's freaking hilarious, but it's so full of sarcasm-with-a-straight-face humor that some viewers have actually mistaken it for a real documentary about a real band.
Yes. I'm generally not a fan of live action comedy, which is what it looks to be? I think, I'm not sure. I've heard about it a lot, but I don't think I would enjoy it. I'm also not really a fan of Rock or bands, so I was under the impression a lot of the humor would be lost on me. Although again, I've never seen it. I'm only going on general descriptions and such.

I'm sort of in the middle with C&H. I think there were a number of great comics, and it's good at showing what it means to be a kid like someone said, but there were a bunch that I didn't really find funny. That's probably just my sense of humor being a bit weird, though. I also don't think I've read that many, now that I think about it.
