@CDRW: I really can't see any of the major characters actually engaging in a battle of wits with a competent enemy and being even able to put up a fight save Celestia. I mean Discord wasn't even all that clever (not that he needed to be) and look what happened.

I've never cared for Sins of Our Fathers revenge plots. It always makes the villain in question seem really petty in their motivations. Reclaiming lost power is one thing, but just straight revenge against people who are long dead? What's the point?

@Lurker maybe you missed the "backed by a deitic being who inspires rage in people" part.

His very presense would make both sides hate each other and him being around the old Equestrians for so long would have made them even worse

I could even imagine it affecting Luna and Celestia (who would go to try and negotiate with the remnants first)

Well, I got my first look at my toe after yesterday.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

It was infected and they had to remove the infected tissue from under the toenail.

Currently taking medication so it doesn't come back.

@Ginger One of them then learns to overcome the villain by channeling their anger towards the correct cause, persevering through use of Tranquil Fury. The lesson in the end is that sometimes it's okay to get angry. You just can't let the anger be destructive, but motivating and constructive instead. /possibly broken Aesop off the top of my head

@Lurker: That's actually quite good moral. I sometimes find myself debating over things like the best way to deal with homophobic comments, and when I tell people that I think that screaming and hollering isn't the best response they tell me "Don't tell me not to get angry".

Being angry is fine - good, even. Just don't go around acting like it gives you a right to be an asshole.
