Well, somepony has to do the accounting for Sweet Apple Acres. That pony could very well be Big Mac.

When Apple Bloom ran off for Zecora's place, mini!Applejack tried to get her to stop by threatening to tell on her to Big Mac, suggesting some sort of authority. And it would seem they normally apple buck together except this time Big Mac had a bad back so she had to do it alone.

Fun tidbits:

• Twilight Sparkle is the only mane pony that does not have three syllables in her name.
• Pinkie Pie specifies "something sweet not sour" to Applebloom in "Cupcakes", probably because her sister once tried to kill the town with poisoned muffins.

Or, you know, could just be the fact that when Applejack is the size (and strength) of a hamster, Big Mac is the only pony she could conceivably tell about Applebloom.

No, snout is the better term. Muzzle is valid, but it makes me think of either this, or this.

Actually, It is concievable (and fun) to think that Big Mac has some skill with math, at least over his Sister. I mean, the 'yer' fancy mathmatics' line could have been a bit of a throwaway joke, but it does kind of imply that Big Mac has used math before...fancy math, at that. I suppose that could be the reason behind his apple being a half apple - skill with math = division.

I know I've said this before, but it never ceases to amaze me just how much this fandom can draw my interest to a bit character...

You seen the way Star Wars fans can get obsessive about each and every single background character that shows up for any amount of time ever? Who would have guessed that Aura Sing would have become such a fan favorite after showing up in one brief moment where a pair of Podracers zoom by?

Heh, aww. For a moment, I thought that might've been from the actual website or something. It would've been sweet. Though Pinkie's blurb made that kinda dubious, and... uh, yeah. Spike. Still, very nice.

@Star Wars fandom: Man, they're even worse/better than the Touhou fandom. I personally don't think that Star Wars should be the kind of work that really warrants that kind of fan creativity – at least not until the prequel trilogy turned it into one (or did the novels already come out before?) – buuut who am I to judge.

Why, even the Stormtrooper who says "Look sir, Droids" got his own short story in one of their anthologies and an entry into the original Essential Guide to Characters!

Well...I guess I'd never noticed before, because I've never been a part of a fandom before this.
