If I was ponylanded? I'd basically try a variation on the theme of Methods Of Rationality, and try to get some SCIENCE out of the place, and import TECHNOLOGY. Then I'd try to become the Princess' Grand Vizier. "Dear Princess, have no fear, Jesus, the Grand Vizier, is here!". This plot to the third power if I get to be a unicron, especially a universal one like Twilight.

However, if I was pegasus'd I'd say "screw this

" and go all storywriter

on everyone's asses.

Being imprisoned in stone was the equivalent of a dark and solitary room.

I hear it's quite lonely.

And I don't think he was freed, rather that he escaped when his prison walls started to deteriorate.

I was under the impression he made the crusaders fight each other with his influence and their discord made him more powerful, freeing him. because if not, that's one hell of a coincidence

This is a cartoon show. The laws of fiction apply. Coincidences can be very likely, depending on the setup.

They can even go so far as to be contrived. Which is what I believe to be the case.

I kinda figured that their fighting was caused by his growing influence. Their arguing didn't actually free him, it was just a sign that he was going to bust out of his prison VERY shortly

wait, if Discord's mere presense is enough to cause disharmony amongst ponies, why didn't that happen with the mane cast?

I want to clarify one last thing on this subject, I'm OK with people who simply don't care for the show but Sad Panda came off as one of the haters who don't realize this show was intended for all ages.

and again about Scootaloo, my logic is that Rainbow most likely gave Scoot the same flawed advice she gave Apple Bloom off-screen.

I was thinking that when they say Celestia and her sister created night and day, it meant they put order on it? i mean, while Discord ruled everyhting was chaos, so it's not hard to think that maybe during that time there was no such thing as day time and night time; everything turned dark out of nowhere and for no precise set of time. So the two sisters came and set order to that, creating day-time and night-time.

...did that make sense?

It made sense, but I'm still not buying it. I mean, I could nitpick that story if I wanted, but overall it just doesn't make sense to me that there is someone on a higher tier up than Nightmare Moon, and then that someone is some clownish dragon-horse with a chicken claw. There's a point where introducing a higher power level gets ridiculous.

It also means Nightmare Moon gets taken down a notch, and I have a problem with a lame villain being canonically higher-tier than a cool one. 'Twould be like demoting M. Bison and saying Dan Hibiki is an even bigger evil force.

I would argue tgatvDiscord is more menacing and away a bigger treat than Nightmare moon ever was.

@Ginger: I'm pretty sure she does. Tabitha St. Germain (Rarity) voices Nightmare Moon, but I don't remember who voices Luna herself.

Domesticated chickens are weak fliers. I think wild chickens can fly pretty decently, though.
