I saw this comic somewhere where Twilight Sparkle and out she accidentally sent a Boys' Love Genre fan fiction to the Princess. It would have been hilarious if it turned out that also happened during Griffon The Brush Off

Twilight writing fanfiction is a surprisingly common fanon element.

The fans seem to view her as an Audience Surrogate, from what I've seen

I view myself as a blend of her, Rarity, Pinkie, and Rainbow's negative qualities (though I'm not sure about that last one, maybe I'm just trying to shoehorn my other favorite into my personality.)

I saw something similar, except it was Fluttershy's fanfiction that Twilight accidentally sent. Apparently Fluttershy was writing erotic stories about her friends, and Celestia thought Twilight was being a bit too candid in her letters.

I would say Twilight Sparkle represents the hardcore fan who obsesses over details to the point of sometimes missing the big picture, while Spike represents the casual viewer who's not completely sure he likes what he's seeing but will try to have fun anyway.

My investment in this show is weird. I love it, but I don't think I'm so hardcore.

If I may go completely my own direction for a minute, there is one thing that sticks in my craw about Discord that I haven't thought I'd mentioned yet. I've already said "he's a bad character and I feel gypped having to wait for his turkey two-parter to end, " but there's One moooooooore thing

I hate what he does to the series background mythology. Seriously, for six months I was all set thinking that Equestria was, if not always ruled by Celestia and Luna (who freaking created the day and night) then at least they came very early on in the cosmic hierarchy and have been there ever sense, are pretty much the most powerful beings in the universe and that if there's any cosmic dark or chaotic forces, they're represented by Nightmare Moon and wherever she came from.

Discord shows up and right off the bat, we're told he was there first and he's actually more powerful than Luna and Celestia combined. Some fans are even speculating that he might've caused Luna to turn into Nightmare Moon, which is just...

... No, just no.

I'm not accepting in any way, shape or form that Nightmare Moon is a lesser creature than Discord, or that he had anything to do with her coming into being. I would easily accept it if it was the other way around (IE if she created him). I would also accept it if it turned out Discord fracked with Celestia's memories and made her think he was some powerful ancient being when really all he is, is a freaky-looking illusionist with slightly-above-Pinkie Pie reality-altering powers. I'm not accepting that he's a higher tier being. Not in any way, shape or form.

Also, TwinkiePie with mild Twi-dominance overtones seriously needs to become canon.

I was thinking that when they say Celestia and her sister created night and day, it meant they put order on it? i mean, while Discord ruled everyhting was chaos, so it's not hard to think that maybe during that time there was no such thing as day time and night time; everything turned dark out of nowhere and for no precise set of time. So the two sisters came and set order to that, creating day-time and night-time.

...did that make sense?

Also, not sure if discussed before, but how could Celestia just leave the one creature that's more powerful than her lying around where anyone could accidently free him? She should have had him locked in adark solitary room.
