The only really unsettling part of it was maybe that after practically disowning Apple Bloom, Big Mac is the only one not seen reconsiling with them. Note they haven't been seen in a scene together since.

Well, on /show/ there was at least. Then the leader of the Rainbow Faction got banned.

Yeah. Season 2, episode 8. Somebody made a case for ALL of them crossing it. I don't see it that way though.

Okay, I liked the episode at first, but after the mane 6 found out who Gabby gums was, it went downhill. Everyone in the town that wasn't Rarity, AJ, Big Mac or Fluttershy{Or pinkie, but we didn't get to see the CM Cs try to talk to her}, had overreacted badly. Did the whole town need to treat the CMC's like they were scum? And guess what? Everyone enjoyed the articles untill THEY were the ones who were featured in it. Did they get called out on this? No, they did not. Hypocrisy everywhere people!

..... Please don't hate me for this.

I just watched (well re watched in original dub) Cars. This need more car puns. Instead saying everybody they should say something like everycar.

When to think about it, this move can be really great target ponification.

What's with these people? They fit the villians in leather pants but the mane characters aren't allowed to get away with anything!

Some people disliked the Mane Cast for MMDW and Ponyville Confidencial for their supposedly harshness and hypocritical actions. Actually I think the two Jerk with a Heart of Gold characters, RD and Rarity suffered the least compared to the 'nice' ponies.

I think it's more a case of Designated Hero syndrome. People don't like when the supposed 'nice' character acts as bad as the jerk one but only the latter gets the Aesop. Look at Family Guy for example, it seems A LOT more people hate Lois and Brian than Peter and Stewie for the sheer fact the latter are jerks but at least they're honest about it.

A MEH is supposed to be the point where it's become completely IMPOSSIBLE for someone to be redeemed without said character looking like a MASSIVE Karma Houdini

Now, personally, I don't think such an action exists, but if it did, then trying to help your friend (even if it was in a horribly misguided way) isn't going to be it

Why don't people get this!? Praising Mare Do Well wasn't hypocricy because none of them were Mare Do Well! Mare Do Well is a group and praising a group for a team effort is not the same as hogging the praise for yourself!

@Berry Again, the Harry Potter fandom is worse. There's a reason they named both of those tropes.

@Berry: What about the Flim-Flam bros? They don't exactly seem like they could be reddeemed anytime soon.
