Just fine. We were talking about origins of Ponies and a possible flamewar over the discussion of the worst episode so far.

As for Mmm Mystery in hindsight, it was a bit slimy, and they seemed willing to let accusations fly for other innocent parties, but they didn't go into too much to make them seem too mean spirited. It was kind of an interesting direction to have Fluttershy do something a bit dickish for once too.

Also I think the episode also desposed of the accusations the universe skewed according to Pinkie's mindlessness, for once Twilight's skeptism was correct and Pinkie made a fool of herself.

Actually, I don't think it's really been very flamey. General consensus is along the lines of "the episode had a good moral in mind, but botched the execution".

I'm in the camp that the moral of FPK was fine even if the episode itself wasn't as good as the rest.

I can't remember exactly which page though.

Then again I also read an entry that claimed Rainbow Dash attempted to drown the Cutie Mark Crusaders. 'Scuse me, when did that happen?

Yeah, the cake wasn't a moral event horizon by any means. It was a dick move, sure, but a person's ability to withstand temptation isn't a constant thing. It wavers, and they hit a low point.

This fandom is the absolute worst about the Ron the Death Eater trope. Hell, it should be called Rainbow Dash The Complete Monster or Pinkie Pie The Serial Killer.
