i don't. The creators don't know much about the BG ponies. They're personalities are completely fan made, so if they're given canon personalities it'll just piss people off.

Doesn't mean that RD doesn't think that though

As much as I love background ponies. I doubt they are getting more than a few cameos. Only us crazy fans care that much. But I would be very happy of they did :)

I once read an interesting "What If?" fanfic once where Twilight befriends a different group of ponies from the pilot to defeat Nightmare Moon with Lyra (Honesty), Bon Bon (Kindness), Raindrop (Loyalty), Carrot Top (Generosity), and Ditzy (Laughter).

Actually, I wonder if we'll see Spitfire and the Wonderbolts should Rainbow Dash get to Cloudsdale, or even how Big Macintosh is going to react to his constantly lying sister.

Ironic, since every bit of canon we have points towards Bon Bon being an absolute asshole

Showers is the one with the umbrella cutie mark, Raindrop (or Raindrops) is Derpy's Palette Swap. At least last I checked...

And prefer them showing up with some role and scenes in show. Because I love biger cast in any show, and love expanding minor or backgrouds. Also I don't read many fanfics so I have to little of soem my favorite ponies.

After much thinking I now I would accept any portrayal of them, even with fanon what i don't like. I prefer them in show even with such price.

Oh yes, I somehow remebered seeing Cloudkicker there.

Well, I watched this episode twice to be sure, but here are my final thoughts on "Return of Harmony pt 1."

I'm pretty sure Orson Welles did Unicron strictly due to Money, Dear Boy. Leonard Nimoy used to think him playing Galvatron was an Old Shame, though he did eventually turn around for "Dark of the Moon".

I think a good mix would be nice.

Show is a mix of adventure and SOL. That was intended from begining.

I like the Slice of Life more, as it's a better fit for the sitcom-ish lighthearted tone, but I also enjoy the periodic adventure and epic quests. The first season was a bit too low on the latter, IMO, so I'm hoping it gets bumped up a tad in season 2.

Hey I just discovered something, Trixie made a cameo in this episode!

.......Actually, its just the tiny Trixie Palette Swaps from "Bridle Gossip". They're in the overview shot of Ponyville at the beginning right after the intro theme. No, it doesn't count as a cameo!

I don't think it's totally out of the question. To fit with the whole friendship motif, they could have the moral be "your friends will grow up and change, but they'll still be your friends."

That drawing and it's meaning are sad, but true in an AWESOME way.

This IS the kind of fanart (I don't do fanficiton unless to see it bashed by someone) I want to see more of... Things that show an actual iota of respect to the show it's based on!

Serioulsy, every time I come across something that isn't this example, it mnakes me question, even hate in extreme cases, what I otherwise feel is a decent-outstanding sight of a show (which is how I feel about this show, of course.) I don't want to hate it, but these 4chan asshats make it damn near easy to when I encounter such shit!

And the same goes for any other show I like that I fel can be ruined by bad fanart/fanfiction. That includes movies I like, too, because they're not free of this BS, either.
