Well Discord's VA said that he did some more vioce work for season 3, and he also said that it will be a "major story piece" so...

That's not Discord's return being pretty much confirmed, though. For all we know, it could be like how Tabitha St. Germain voices a bajillion different characters.

At least Celestia wasn't Worfed by the villain herself, but by The Power of Love. I find that to be far more telling than anything else. There's also the fact that she was in a crowded room, so she couldn't exactly go nova.

If Celestia had taken on her aspect in that hall, she would have killed most of the guests, the bride, the groom, and five of the Bearers. And probably most of Canterlot, is my guess.

The real reason Luna turned into Nightmare Moon was not because of ponies sleeping through her beautiful night, but because she also had feelings for Discord.
