@ J Teeth: I believe in the analogue to the Roman Empire. I think there are just too many links to make it all just a coincidence. Also, I'm more frustrated with having to cite everything. It gets really annoying after a while. I think I've spent more time just creating citations than actually reading and taking notes on what I'm writing about... ><

Besides, the paper deals with what I wanna do with the rest of my life anyway: international development and geography.

The Queen was pretty damn awesome. Her villain song was epic, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I wished it were longer. Her reprise was awesome, again, could've been longer.

Her scheming was prety dang intelligent, so in that regard I'd say she's on par with most disney villains

1. Celestia invited the Mane 6 specifically to have them on hand in case the EOH were needed, which is why she invited all of them and not just Twilight. And gave each of them a valid reason to be there that wouldn't raise suspicion

2. The Queen made the threat herself, so that SA would put up the shield, cause she knew how much putting up and maintaining the shield would tire him out and make him more susceptible to her mind control.

Build a fool proof system, and the world will create a better fool.

@ Stevebat: The song was great, but I think the singer could have done better. It sounded like it was sung by a petulant teenager whenever she went evil, which somewhat lowered the creepy factor. Listen to it without the footage and I think it ends up being lackluster.

It reminded me of Ursula's villain song after she stole Ariel's voice (when she's preparing for the wedding.) A Shout Out, perhaps?
