I think I know why they aired both parts back-to-back instead of a week apart like the past two 2-parters: if they didn't air them back-to-back, it'd be more likely that kids who saw Part 1 might miss Part 2, think Cadance really is evil, and not want the toys of her.

@ J Teeth: At least you don't have to choose a commodity and write a 5 page paper tracking the commodity around the world and analyzing how changes in steps within the chain can alter the environmental, social, and/or cultural impacts of the creation of the commodity.

So, random idea that probably wasn't intended by the writers but works out just fine anyway:

You know how we always wondered about why the hell Twilight would even know the Want It, Need It spell, much less have used it in the past to know "it works every time"?

She developed the spell to try and imitate Cadence's signature magic, having idolized her in her youth, but she could only induce blind desire rather than encourage and strengthen true love.

"Fae" is sort of a blanket term. It also involves all manner of sprites, wood and water spirits, and various other stuff, from what I understand. But as far as I can tell, fae are, as a whole, weird, alien, capricious, unpredictable, and dangerous.

World of MLPFIM confirmed more badass than first show. Here powerful villain was defeated but not killed/destroyed/banished/reformed, and have it's army.
