I'll probably do the same, but first just voice my opinion, for the record: not even a little sympathetic.
A fool's fool fools fools who foolishly accept the foolishness of a fool's fool.
In case you didn't catch it the first time:
I'll stop with these three because I'm sleepy and can't think of anything to say about the others.

The dragon in "Dragonshy" was slightly sympathetic. The Cockatrice and the Diamond Dogs, not so much.

The diamond dogs are just plain idiots I don't sympathize with them and pretty much pity them actually
Villian sympathy discussion again?
how about we keep posting the same thing page after page long after everyone has moved on, and then apologize for necroing the discussion while continuing to do it.

Have I mentioned I kind of
hate Cupcakes!Pinkie? :| Why can't we have a nice show without turning the cute characters into psychopaths?

@edvedd: When it got to the Pinkamena hugging Scootaloo part, suddenly I wasn't sure how to feel about it anymore.
Is [Grimcute] a thing yet?

I think I would agree with you about it being some what weaker because it is essentially six-mini episodes.
I didn't exactly say that, but now I wish I did.
Heck, Twilight's can't even be called a mini-ep! All she got was a couple seconds of meeting up with Celestia, a couple more seconds of hoof-shaking, and then a final bit with her walking with Celestia into a disaster zone. Twilight was pretty much a background detail in this episode.
So I guess that
is the problem with this episode. They tried to cram too many plotlines into one episode, and we end up with a heap of mediocrity. To be fair, there are a few gems here and there, but overall, it's a pretty weak episode.

It should have been a two prater.
