Well she was higher up also.
That must have been one fragile rock, then. Otherwise, that boom should have been enough to shatter eardrums.
But apart, all we are is just a pile of mush and some crumbly dry mess...
well judging by the sheer amount of gems in that little rock I would say that it wasn't very structurally sound.
Maybe it did create a bunch of effects that we just didn't see.
Well who knows? Maybe babies really are delivered by storks in Equestria.
Edit: Oops, I think
Word Of God contradicted that.

It's pronounced "Te-ah-low-ve"
Ancient, long forgotten spirit desires to be born anew and latches on to the love held between a loving couple to give itself just enough power to take form and be born, leading to suspicion between the couple and rumors from the townsfolk, the negative energy of which corrupts the spirit as it grows, so even though the couple may or may not make up, when the spirit is born it always feels those negative thoughts and feelings, and must walk the edge between good and evil, constantly fighting it's own inner demons, until it meets another born spirit that was completely corrupted, and must decide whether to do defeat it or join it, and in the end it overcomes all it's negative influences to save Equestria, proving that, no matter how you are born, how you live is your choice?
Are you going to write that story? After going into that level of detail, you just can't
not write that story.

^Regarding that comparison picture from Ponibooru: Gilda never touches Fluttershy. She roars at her, but after that they don't interact directly again. She does grab Pinkie around the neck, though.
On various other subjects brought up: we don't really have any reason to believe that Pinkie's family aren't actually related to her. She looks a lot like her sisters (as far as ponies who share the same base can be said to have a family resemblance, at least) and genetics doesn't count for much in terms of coat color - we've seen that with Twilight's parents.

I'm a college student! I don't have time for this!
"Verbal assault against Fluttershy is as harsh on her as physical assault would be against anyone else" would've been my argument.

A fool's fool fools fools who foolishly accept the foolishness of a fool's fool.
re: Mio's post
* (I don't want to say @Mio, I'm kind of just putting this out for everyone as opposed to one specific person)
I'm tempted to say The Best Night Ever is a weak episode because of it, but when I think about it, it's almost like a group of six interconnected mini-eps. So I'm going to have to break it down:
- Rarity's mini-ep — Weakly constructed. Prince Blueblood isn't just a pain in the patootie, he's unbelievable. As in literally unbelievable. I remember thinking, "how does an ass like this even exist? It's like he's trying to be obnoxious on purpose!"
- Fluttershy's mini-ep — It's nice to see that Fluttershy has the capacity for terror-inducing rage. Something about the mood transition, though, doesn't quite sit well for me, but for the life of me I can't figure out what.
- Applejack's mini-ep — Not sure what to say, except that it was pretty meh. We see AJ being persistent, but we already know that about her.
I'll stop with these three because I'm sleepy and can't think of anything to say about the others.

also it's unlikely that Gilda knew that Fluttershy was the one pony off limits for any amount of cruelty or meanness
Hold up, is this another discussion about how sympathetic Gilda should be? I probably oughta stay out of it, for my own sanity.
