I dunno, why shouldn't you?

Though speaking of references, Luna was already ripe for Sailor Moon jokes, "Selena" just sweetens the deal...

Probably because I've never read a Pippi Longstocking book in my life and all my knowledge of the character comes from other sources.

To be honest, "Delicatessa" wasn't an intentional reference—I just wanted to give Luna a really long name (though I was aware of Pippi Longstocking when I posted)

Huh. I remember a cartoon of that. The trope page doesn't seem to mention it. Weird.

EDIT: Scratch that, I just skimmed it the first time around.

Speaking of weird things, how about this?

It makes me wonder if they'd really be edible at all. I mean, likening the various substances to candy means that they're digestible, certainly, but it's the act of consumption that concerns me(admittedly, the likely enormous sugar content would make even digestion questionable). Like, most of the substances are referred to as being inordinately strong and resilient. If the gummy flesh can't be cut, could it be chewed? Would it be like chewing rubber? Or the skull - if it's strong enough to resist an anvils impact, You certainly wouldn't be able to chew it, but would you be able to suck on it to soften it up. For that matter, since it clearly serves and a conduit, what side effects could come from consumption? Could eating a unicorns horn give you some of it's memories or emotions?

...FUCK, I got another fanfic idea.

And I think I'm going to fanonize "Luna Delicatessa Selena Cosmos Equestrios XXXIII" next time I update my own fanfic.

For some reason Ponibooru isn't loading for me right now.

I can't get the Ponibooru link to work, but I think Keg is talking about this.

[up][up][up][up] Maybe show take place in same world as Adventure Time , and ponies are related to candy people.
They are like the others. Strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others. They did not die.

"Selena" is a cool name, too.

Odd, though. Luna is clearly named for the moon, but Celestia appears to be named for the whole of space, not just for the sun.
I have a message from another time...

Well she does gain control of both the sun AND the moon for an extended period of time. Maybe her name was a bit of Foreshadowing?

Plus a storybook that retold the first episode, except it had a lot of details wrong. Like for some reason, Sweetie Bell and Scootaloo lived in Canterlot, and Luna is instead called Selena.
Haha, I saw scans of that once last month. I thought they might have just misheard or misremembered some things, but someone else said it must have been based on an earlier draft of the script, like from before they knew that "Princess Selena" and "Night Mare" were already trademarked or something.

Remember those Taiwanese guys who make those crazy CGI videos about major news events? They found out about us, and the results are hilarious.

Does anyone else think Pinkie Pie's motto should be "When life gives you lemons, make cupcakes"?
It's pronounced "Te-ah-low-ve"

Due to the connotations "cupcakes" has within the fandom, no. Lemon meringue pie works, though.

Celestia's name should really be Solisequa: "Mare of the Sun" or "Sunmare"

Could eating a unicorns horn give you some of it's memories or emotions?

Well, unicorn horn (called "alicorn", oddly) is thought to have medicinal, curative properties. I wonder if a unicorn might need to shave bits off her own horn for a spell.

Also that video was hilarious.

Sometimes I wonder, what if there was a third alicorn that governed the stars (instead of Luna)? You know, just sort of a what-if.

Obviously, her name would be Stella.

And it turns out she was the real Nightmare Moon.
But apart, all we are is just a pile of mush and some crumbly dry mess...
