I actually like the idea of Twilight/Pinkie.

Well, in other news, here's a question. How old (in general, not exactly) do you think the main 6 are?

I figure that Applejack and Rarity are probably the oldest of them all. Both of them are old enough to basically be running their respective places of work; in Rarity's case, she owns and operates the place entirely solo, and Applejack only has one valid person helping her on the farm.

I figure Rainbow Dash is one of the youngest (Young Fliers' Competition)

Twilight... I figure that she's the equivalent of college-age, most likely graduate-school. If she'd already graduated and was a full-time scholar, then I don't think that they'd be "on break" during the summer.

Not sure where to place Fluttershy and Pinkie, other than the fact that Fluttershy's a year older than Pinkie.

I coulda sworn we just discussed this. I think they're all roughly the same age, with Fluttershy being a bit older than everpony else. In Cutie Mark Chronicles, all the flashbacks take place at the same time, but Fluttershy was drawn differently.

I am trying very hard not to make a joke about Fluttershy being an old nag.
