btw, can you even count Vinyl Scratch as a BG pony? since in the only scene she was in, she was the primary focus of it

Fluttershy is too much of a pushover.

And Scratch wasn't the focus of a scene, she was the focus of a shot. Just a couple seconds of her bobbing her head to the beat, but that's it.

The only flaw I can think of in regard to Fluttershy is that she's too introverted; she doesn't speak up even when there's really no reason not to. It also means that she's a bit too emotionally fragile because she just isn't assertive except in extreme circumstances.

I know this is semantics, but please bear with me. That's less being introverted and more being shy. If anyone's too much of an introvert, it's Twilight. At least before the second Nightmare Moon incident, what with being such a recluse and all.

It's a combination of both, I think. What I meant is that Fluttershy just has trouble interacting with other ponies due to her reluctance to be assertive in any non-emergency situation. And I think a part of that is due to the fact that she keeps a lot to herself rather than telling the other ponies what she wants to do, so she ends up letting herself get walked over. If she would speak up more often, it wouldn't be such a problem.

Sorry, I read negative, not unlikable. Although these traits can become problematic fairly easily. ie. Twilight's first meeting with Fluttershy.

But she is awesome and adorable in any case.
