@Kegisak: Yeah, it's mainly that 1. every dragon we see isn't that nice and 2. the whole point of Spike's episodes seem to be about him overcoming his dragonish tendencies; i.e. he's at his best when he's not acting like a dragon.

I would have loved to see at least one dragon in the episode that was nice to him, just so we know that Spike isn't a total anomaly. Although I suppose that it's still possible that he's a different (wingless) species of dragon.

Twilight, Rarity, and Rainbow gasping at the thought of Spike wanting to stay with his own kind. Really, when was the last episode they showed any attention toward him?

just becuase it doesn't happen in an episode, of which a lot of other stuff is going on, doesn't meen they don't. It's pretty much proven they all care for Spike, they don't need to take time out of the other events of an episode just to show us something we already know.

Episode was pretty average overall, but that's fine by me, since it was still pretty enjoyable. Especially after last week.

Apparently Dragon Teenagers are the most cocky motherfuckers in the world considering what they think of Celestia. I do wonder what the adult dragons were doing that whole time. I get the feeling that as Dragons get older they become more solitary. Though I guess Spike wouldn't talk to them considering what happened the last time encountered an adult. Also it seems there are as many varieties of Dragons in MLP as there are in HTTYD.

I actually found the ponies running away pretty odd since they have stood their ground against meaner stuff. Meh, I guess that was a for a joke, or the staff is discouraged from having the episode's actually being solved with violence (at least of the non-silly slapsticky kind).

@ Ginger: Daylight Savings Time made it an hour earlier.

I'm not aware of the UK's time zone, but they switched it here from 7:00 am to 10:00 am.

Given that the teenage dragons are jerks, it doesn't surprise me that the adults are more solitary. I'm more curious about what the purpose of the whole migration thing is to begin with.

I think that they were going to fight the dragons, but Spike ended up running away before they had the chance. Otherwise they would have run away at the same time.

well, Crackle was kinda awesome, and none of the adult dragons did anything. And the only one we see being jerks are teenagers.
