you know........was this the writers picking up on the
Fridge Horror of Dragon lifespan/Pony lifespan and giving him a companion that will live as long as him?

The current bingo card!
It seems unlikely we will get a line judging from the episode synopsises left, unless Celestria is the one who eats the cake on the train or something...
The internet is the realm of chaos, but not all chaos is evil.
On the whole, I wasn't very impressed with this episode. Very standard. The ponies posing as a dragon had some good gags, but for the rest, there wasn't really much to see here.
nah, Twi and Spike are more like siblings, thought with Twi being an older sibling that basicly raised the younger one, so yeah I'd go with aunt.

Actually Jteeth, about that... those were teenagers he was palling around with after all. Some teens can be kind of jerks. The few shots of the adult dragons sort of made it seem like they didn't care all that much for the shenanigans. I think if Spike had been brave enough to talk to a grown up, things may have been different.
I enjoyed this episode a lot even if it wasn't an origin episode.
Don't make me fire Pinky's party cannon.
Dash and Fluttershy seem pretty close, don't they?
They are kind of childhood friends.
you will go to the paper towns and you will never come back
They did seem to give that letter a lot of attention.
List review, then I am gone. yadayada
Pro
- Spike getting an episode.
- Spike journeying by himself, and putting up with the dragon test. He's a tough little guy.
- Rarity showing concern for Spike.
- Seeing more dragons in Equestria.
- Spiking dubbing his pony friends his family.
- Pheonix's inhabiting a land. Now we know there is more than one.
Con
- This show makes male characters look like heartless jerks.
- The teen dragons were not the only dragons, why not find some who were nice to baby dragons?
- Twilight, Rarity, and Rainbow gasping at the thought of Spike wanting to stay with his own kind. Really, when was the last episode they showed any attention toward him?
- The handful of teen dragons made a bad impression, so it is likely Spike won't be shown around dragons again. Way to taint the species with such one-shot bad eggs.
- Ponies continue not to know more about dragons due to their own fears.
Bunai is known to make spelling and grammar errors, but will attempt to correct them once realized.
Wait. A phoenix. In the library. This could be bad. Fire and paper don't mix.
you will go to the paper towns and you will never come back
Celestia doesn't seem like the type to really care about stuff like that. At most she'd kinda smirk and just offhandedly do something epic while they squirm.

Cause a peewee is just a little thing, like a chick.
So, overall, I thought the episode was pretty dull. I really wish the teen dragons had a little more depth, but I'm hardly surprised they didn't, given the target audience for the show.

Interesting choice of words...
you will go to the paper towns and you will never come back
Didn't notice that Spike hitchhiked to get the lift.
Tealove is best pony.

So, do the dragons know who Princess Celestia is? I forgot the line, but didn't the teen red dragon called Celestia a "pony princess?" If so, wouldn't this mean that the dragons live outside of Celestia's jurisdiction?
Don't make me fire Pinky's party cannon.
I liked this episode. Then again I like pretty much every episode outside of the season one two-parter.
