@ Random,

the younger ones all stay close to there parents/are in the next caldera over. Spike just wondered into the High School crater instead of the elementary school one.

The reason there are no 'kid' dragons is because the older ones often eat them. Spike's days are numbered.

If you can't find it in a book, it doesn't exist. If you can find it in a book, it doesn't exist until I say so.
