@Mousa: I, for one, don't like characters created just for making fun of old people. They disturb me somehow. I'm not saying Granny Smith was created only for that, but still I can't like her because of this.

Maybe Rare could keep it straightened out with her TK? Like she did in this latest episode

Also, the fact GS forgets everything, hinting everybody will have memory issues when growing old... It disturbs me also.

And as soon as Rarity lets go, her hair would poof right back up. It's not practical.

I don't know...so far GS has been a positive portrayal of the elderly. I mean, she's seemingly raised three kids and ran a farm.

When I mentioned it had been resolved, when Spike admitted his feelings and Rarity admitted she knew all along and was fine with it, what else can you do now? They've shared their feelings. Nothing came of it but acceptance. There's no more slight shipteasing that can be done because they've already pretty much ended it. The only thing you could really do is reset button and assume the semi-teasing or go into awkward teen-shows related issues.

It seems like they decided to use her because they have a fairly unfleshed character you can use as the basis of some easy elderly jokes, but it seems her treatment he been pretty fairy so far.

Why the hay did I type GM instead of GS?

So... yes, the elderly portrayal in the show, thro GS, is fair until now, not offensive, etc. It's *me* that have issues accepting her. My wife, with none of these paranoid/neurothings, just laughs and loved this episode where she showed Hidden Depths.
