I just hope spike doesn't reciprocate. A girl dragon liking him could be really sweet though

For some reason, I really DON'T like the idea of Spike getting with a girl dragon. That's probably what will happen in the end though

I am interested in seeing other dragons, especially since the previous ones were merely antagonists with little depth. They haven't gone into much detail over the species in the show, outside the whole greed thing of course.

On thing I'm puzzled about though, where exactly did the 'Spike will live 1000 years longer than the ponies' theory come from? I haven't really found an episode that references it.

I admit I want them to keep Spike's crush with Rarity, especially since they're actually adding some chemistry to the two.

But they've already pretty much resolved the Spike/Rarity thing in that episode where he grows huge.

And besides, even with species difference aside, there's still the big age difference as well.

@Psi: Given that Basil, the red dragon from "Dragonshy", is taking a hundred-year nap, the extrapolation was that all dragons have a very long lifespan.

Spike finally admitted his feelings to Rarity! Now he doesn't have a crush on her anymore!

I wonder if they'll ever let Spike get over his crush. Maybe it could be part of the season final.
