^I don't know much about programming, but I suppose it depends on the sprite detail and such. While having ponies catch ledges with their chins would look pretty funny, your best choice would probably be to just have situations like that go into a ledge-grab animation.

Cloud Cuckoo Lander.
If you whant naming her Ditzy, give her dauther or make her less intelegent fine, lets other Derpies be this way.
No point to argue (that not my special talent ;P), best way is to make all fan teories and interpetation (or most of them) canon.
BTW Caramel, pony who lost seeds in Winter Wrap up is diffret colt that backgroud pony with horshoes CM.

I like the theory of Octavia being Pinkie's sister, but I can't see it working because she'd know Pinkie's weirdness, and would probably see what she was up to at the party /serious business.
She certainly wouldn't have just watched Pinkie with mild bemusement; she probably would have grabbed her and brought her backstage for damage control.
