I must vehemently argue with the 'Octavia is mute' theory. Why?
This is why

Much obliged. From what I'd read as a reaction to his last one, I think he might have implied that a beloved pony could even have been killed to heighten "drama". Which would be horrible, this is a show for little girls.
But posting the same thing over and over? He's definitely that guy I faced at DA.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Great
^ Rarity mentions a "Spring Has Sprung" party in episode 25.
How much artistic license are you taking with this sprite game?
I plan to use the sprites from Desktop Ponies.
It's pronounced "Te-ah-low-ve"
The winter wrap-up would've been... what, the vernal equinox? Maybe?
Anyway, I imagine there's a winter solstice celebration now that Luna's back, so Spring can have the wrap-up.

No, the vernal equinox would have been the middle of spring. Unless the transition of winter to spring doesn't happen the way I think it does. I wouldn't know—we don't have 4 seasons around here.
But apart, all we are is just a pile of mush and some crumbly dry mess...

What's that? The vaginal equinox?
Lemme clean my glasses off,
Oh...
vernal.

^ Why do you insist on doing that?
There is a "Octavia is mute" theory?
Because "for the lulz" is a perfectly good reason to do something.
This year's vernal equinox was March 20th, according to Wikipedia.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spring_(season)
Astronomically, the vernal equinox marks the first day of spring, (currently around the 20th or 21st of March in the Northern Hemisphere, and 22nd or 23rd September in the Southern Hemisphere), whereas the summer solstice marks the first day of summer (usually 21 June in the Northern Hemisphere and 21 December in the Southern Hemisphere). In South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, spring begins on 1 September, and has no relation to the vernal equinox.[3]
I would argue that the Running of the Leaves doesn't necessarily have anything to do with astronomy, unlike the wrap-up or the solstice celebrations; it depends on whether the ponies keep the leaves up until the start of the winter, or have a period of deadwood in-between.

Really? I used to think the equinoxes and solstices occurred in the middle of their respective seasons.
You learn something new every day.
But apart, all we are is just a pile of mush and some crumbly dry mess...
^^Equinoxes do, generally. The winter equinox falls on December 21st, usually, and the summer equinox is generally around June 21st.
^She should have a moon celebration on the Winter Equinox.

You mean solstices, right? Winter and summer have solstices.

In the distant land I come from, it's called 'humor'.
Say it with me: "Hu-mor". "
Hu-mor".
This may be a new and frightening concept to you, so I'll give you some time to think and come to grips with it.

If you try to put more than a couple dozen candles on a cake, some of the candles will have burnt away by the time you get all of them lit. Why yes I do know from personal experience.
