Equestria and hole world was made by ancient race of spiders

I think TS called Equestria a country in one episode.

I'm not sure it's actually consistently defined.

Equestria is land ruled by Celestria, outside are wild places like Everfree Forest and propably other coutries populated by other sentien creatures.

So if Celestia rules the day and Luna is supposed to be the goddess of the night, are there super god beings for other forces of nature?

Prince Blueblood is in charge of the weak nuclear force (nopony likes the weak nuclear force).

There must be other nations outside Equestria; Zecora's not a pony, for example, she's a zebra. I actually quite like the view put forward in Jetfire's fic "Dangerous Business", where Equestria is just one of many nations of ponies, deer, kudu, camels... you get the idea.

As for other gods, none are really mentioned. It seems like most of the natural forces nowadays are handled by regular ponies, anyway - and we've discussed before whether Celestia and Luna are truly 'goddesses' or just incredibly powerful alicorns - or, for that matter, whether all alicorns are that powerful and they're just incredibly rare.

I got the impression that the ponies themselves control everything else (Weather, seasonal changes etc) without them everything seems to stand still

If there are a bunch of other nations out there, I wonder how extensive cutie marks are. Zecora has one, but Gilda doesn't, and neither do the buffalo.

Maybe it's a unique equine thing?

x 6 I think that there could be other forces of nature yes. What if they introduced the hippocamp sea ponies who all follow a great tridant weilding Posidian like sea pony prince who controls the ocean currents etc as an example?

Oh yeah...maybe hybrids don't get them. The donkey and pony have CMS, but not their offspring. Actually, that's kind of sad.

Actually, he seemed pretty laid back the one time he appeared. And it might just be that non-pony species don't have cutie marks. Did the buffalo herd from Over A Barrel have cutie marks?

Cutie marks do seem restricted to marketable characters ponies and pony relatives, definitely.

I always miss the biggest things when I stop looking briefly.

It has to be mentioned that Celestia doesn't appear to have aged a day in over a millenium. She appears to be immortal, and she's known to have incredible power. It also seems pretty evident that alicorns are rare. If Celestia is normal for an alicorn, I think that pretty much implies that "alicorn"="deity".

So, I checked the "MLP will be popular in Japan" WMG, and I thought to myself: Some of these castings seem too 2006-2008 era of anime.

I decided to make a cast list here based on seiyuu used more commonly in the current time.

• Twilight Sparkle - Marina Inoue or Nana Mizuki (Aya Hirano would have been a good choice, but she's currently banned from working in new series)
• Princess Celestia - Kikuko Inoue hit the nail on the head
• Rainbow Dash - Haruka Tomatsu or Ami Koshimizu
• Fluttershy - Kana Hanazawa or Yukari Fukui, but Yuko Goto is a good choice too
• Applejack - Arisa Osugawara (Panty from P&Sw/G)
• Pinkie Pie - Eri Kitamura
• Rarity - Sayaka Ohara
• Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle - possibly give them little girls or seiyuu in training; I wanna say Aoi Yuuki for one of them, though...

^^Koshimizu Ami for Rainbow Dash, huh? Well, that'd be interesting... of course, I only know her as Holo, so my impression of her voice might be a little biased. (Of course, my impression of her voice is not well suited for Dash, as things stand.)

And yes, Kitamura-san has to be in everything. At least, it's starting to seem that way.
