@CDRW: Yeah, but humans also don't physically mature in three years and don't go through an estrus cycle once per year. We aren't really dealing with human physiology here. Is it similar? Given the context of the show, certainly. Is it the same? Unlikely.

I don't, either. It made it feel like Applejack's talents were just wasted when she could move the whole orchard herself! It was a horrible scene, at least, in my opinion. But I love Applejack, so I guess it comes standard with my personal character tier or likewise.

@ Kegisak: True, but I just don't see much reason why the two would be biologically linked. They could hit estrus, be fully physically mature, and then mentally mature five years later for all we know. Of course, following this issue to its end also brings up the question of life-span.
