Come to think of it, are biological and mental maturity linked in humans, or is it just coincidence that they, for the most part, happen at roughly the same time?

That letter thing was what I imagined Twi would write after meeting us and learning just how much some of us really like the more recreational aspects of biology [lol]

That sounds like something I should add to my resume under hobbies. "I am a recreational biologist."

@Ginger: It's less that mental maturity is triggered by estrus and more than the two happen at similar times. I also recognize that hormones come into play here - the start of the estrus cycle is the first introduction of chemicals that will, for better or worse, alter the brain and make it more 'mature'. So I suppose that yes, mental maturity is triggered by estrus, but it's a sort of internal, biological thing. The issue of cutie marks is a more external one, because it's 'magical'.

Should I be proud of achieving such a milestone or ashamed that I spent all of this time posting in a pony thread when I could've been doing something productive?

You decide, internet.

@kegi Fine, then I submit to you... What if a pony going through estrus doesn't have a partner?

The mane cast for example

Also, I consider Cutie Marks in a sense biological since magic is inherant in ponies anyway.

Most of you are perverts, it seems.

Those of us who aren't tend to check out of conversations like these. And some of them are simply interested in an anthropological manner.

You haven't seen the ask Ice Pack blog, have you?

But yes, I'll admit you that. They could certainly use... implements to help the process along, I'd never denied that. Just that contraceptives would still get a lot of money in this instance as well.

[down]That is the best euphemism I have ever heard.

I just ask because kegi seemed intent on dispelling the notion that Equestria has a thriving "toy" commuinity and that everypony is open about these sorts of things.

[up][up] Ah, I see.

Me, a perv? Maybe just a little [lol]

I am genuinely interested in Equestrian culture mind, their biology is just a small aspect of my thirst for knowledge. I would like to know if there are any historical records that date back to Dream Valley or something, for one.

I would complain more about overpowered telekinesis if I knew what limitations it was supposed to have, rather than just being powers as the plot demands. I feel like after "Boast Busters", the writers thought, "Wait a minute, if Twilight can just move anything anywhere, why is anything ever a problem for her?" So then they started having Twilight forget about her magic or making it fail all the time.

@Ginger: I don't know, the whole cutie mark thing just feels external. It depends on how it's handled. If it's an immutable issue, what you were meant to do, then it wierds me out. IF it's internal and representative, something you decided you wanted to do with your life, then I'm fine with it.
