MMDW proved that disasters are normal in Ponyville, so it only stands to reason that they always have building materials and skilled construction workers on hoof at all times. In fact, I believe that's the reason why Ponyville keeps expanding as the episodes go on. It's much bigger now than it was in Episode One. I can only conclude that with the Elements of Harmony living in town with them, they are protected from most of the dangers that usually beset. The number of disasters is actually less than what they're used to.

^The hoof covers they wear? They're ornamental metal, though I wouldn't be surprised if they're actually fairly durable as well.

Do you think Celestia's mane ever stops moving? Do you think it still blows in the wind while she's asleep? Does she even sleep?
^She sleeps, but I doubt her mane ever stops moving. For one thing, we've seen it billow on its own in places with no wind at all; for another, it's more like solidified aurora than anything else if Luna's mane is anything to go off of, so it can billow on its own if it wants to. XD

I'd think the continual movement would keep her awake if it moved while she was trying to sleep. But, on the other hand, if she were used to it continually flowing, she might very well not notice itat all.

I don't even consider her a real character at this point.
Those episodes are going to teach us so much about alicorns... It's very possible that Cadence doesn't have enough power to have a mane like the Princesses, or that her domain just doesn't translate well.

What is Cadence's Domain anyway? Does she have one at all?

Cadence is of the Shameless Toy Plug domain. We don't really know anything about her at the moment. I don't think we even know how she's related to Celestia and Luna.
^If she is that alicorn, it won't be mentioned. The show's been very good about avoiding pink princess syndrome in the past, but I really can't see the pink alicorn being set up for the dream royal wedding being given the backstory of being married to another guy years before in an incident that destroyed her kingdom and rule and led to a Dark Ages.
