[up][up][up][up]I don't understand. Are you suggesting its possible to not be a fan of Trixie?

[up][up[up]]I like this. There's an order in the world that she respects and upholds, but she's a bit bored after a thousand years so she finds ways to mess with her subjects without being too mean about it.

About the Celestia Propaganda thing, is the thing with characters having campaign posters (Like Applejack's having BUCK under it, Big Mac's having EYUP) some sort of meme?

Here's a question, who's the bigger jerk?

  • Gilda
  • Trixie
  • Blueblood

Well, with wingspan Gilda, but Blueblood is probably more massive.

Gilda. Trixie's just a mean-spirited showoff, Blueblood is simply a spoiled prince that has no idea of how to treat people if he wants them to like him.

@The Librarian: If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, those are parodies of Barack Obama's "hope" poster. It's fairly well known in the U.S., although I don't know how popular it is elsewhere.

Re: Biggest jerk:

Gilda is probably the most willfully jerkish. Trixie was extremely arrogant, but she did have a good amount of skill; it was just that her inflated opinion of herself bypassed the limits of her actual abilities. Blueblood was a jerk, but he wasn't a malicious jerk in the same way that Gilda was; all the annoyance that he caused was just a byproduct of his selfishness; he wasn't trying to hurt people. Gilda was obviously hostile to Pinkie Pie and a good number of other ponies for no good reason.

I rank Gilda as a Jerk Ass of Jerk asses. The episode she's in says it all about her. How did RD end up with such a loser for a former friend???

Trixie...is just a pathetic, one-note strawwoman who thinks she's God at what she does. There's nothing more sad than running into someone in real life like that who thinks themselves a Mary Sue/Gary Stu. Sad, indeed.

Who cares about Blood's-his-name? Another worthless strawman that Rarity stupidly fondled over. More Proof she should get with Spike (I'm kidding, even thoguh I'd love to see Spike, even if that means him being with someone too old/mature for him. I say this because Spike is my Favorite character on this show BTW and I like seeing him happy as it wrms my dark soul ablaze).

Blueblood. Gilda just didn't mature from her childhood like Dash. Trixie was just a bragger.

Blueblood broke every gentleman etiquette rule during his "date" with Rarity. Dude don't let a lady open the door.
As me anything and I'll say... What?

Or take her scarf to cross a mud puddle instead of maybe just stepping around it, or use her as a shield against a flying cake. Whoever taught that guy etiquette needs to be fired.

I really want to know why Celestia lets her nephew get away with being such a massive tool. That seems strangely neglectful of her.

[up][up][up]I also really want to see the story of how Gilda and RD ended up being friends. Based on the assholes from Sonic Rainboom and Cutie Mark Chronicles I could see them both being social outcasts when they were younger.

And am I the only one on here that likes Trixie?

[up] That's what I'd be dying to know, too, Crowfall. It'd hopefully make for some interesting storytelling. Even if I NEVER want to see Gilda again. I hate her character that much...As much as any character we're labeling as Jerk Asses around here.

Flying camp, wasn't it?

They both seem the type to go to a competitive camp in order to master their skills.

[up][up][up] Just the fact that she made Fluttershy cry is bad enough for me. I mean, I found out about pranking Granny Smith and all, but making Fluttershy cry is the only reason I need to hate her, and not just because Fluttershy's my favorite character.

The reason I really didn't like Gilda (other than being a huge enough bitch to make Fluttershy cry) was because of her really cliche Totally Radical style of speech. That got on my nerves so much throughout the episode

[up]x a bazillion: Zecora isnt afraid of living in Everfree Forest. wild mass guessThis is because Zebras DON'T control nature the same way other ponies do, and to her it is just a forest.wild mass guess OK, it's less safe than a field, but as a witchdoctor/wisewoman she is SUPPOSED to live by herself in a forest. Heck, you just need to know how to avoid the dangerous things.

[up]x a bazillion: Socialist Equestria: Equestria has a monarch, whose main restraint on her power is that she seems hands-off (she also keeps up cosmic functions, so maybe she is just harried). Fashion shows and cake-baking aside, MLP-FIM seems to be very much traditional Western fantasy to me. And for all discussions of the implications of controlling the seasons etc: this seems very much like standard fairy tales to me, where the logic is the logic of story and dream, not geek analysis. tongue

[up][up]Yes. This so much. Making Fluttershy cry? Just part of being the villain. Making me cringe every time she speaks? No, shut up, go away forever.

In jerk order, Gilda, Blueblood, and Trixie. Gilda was intentionally cruel—trying to get rid of Pinkie, who was trying to include her right away. Pranking a senior. Stealing stuff. Bullying Fluttershy. Hitting a little kid (Spike). Blueblood was self-centred, and walked all over Rarity and insulted Applejack's treats. Trixie, to her credit, only went after those who "challenged" her and did try to get rid of the Ursa. That being said, I'd love to see Trixie vs. Gilda!
