I don't know about you, but when I read Corus got the Canadian rights to the show I knew they were going to plunk it on Treehouse, even though I hoped they wouldn't.

I had only heard about it after it happened, but I was pretty dissapointed, yeah. It really should have been put on Teletoon...or YTV would have been better, but YTV DOESN'T SHOW CARTOONS ANYMORE.

[up][up][up]Isn't that the station that was making fun of bronies about a week ago? Interesting that they're bringing it up again so soon. At least they weren't being critical of it this time. Also, I laughed a bit at Krastos the Glue Maker.

Admittedly it did get me thinking—if human children play with human dolls why wouldn't pony children play with pony dolls?

Then I figured that ponies wouldn't really be able to play with dolls unless they used magic (which only unicorns could do) or held them in their mouths, which doesn't sound like much fun.

Maybe they'd be made on wheel so ponies could just push them around, or something? Or they have strings to grab a hold of?

Actually, given pony culture's emphasis on friendship and community(or so I assume, given everything else in the show)they might never have invented dolls - they always seemed sort of like solitary toys to me, but maybe that's just because I liked for my toys to have great, sprawling adventures that I controlled. Ponies might have forgone them in favour of just playing with friends.

That thing from Party of One is what really they brocasted on that station? This may even make this scene more creepy.

- Imaginary Frend Rocky: "They are bunch of (total silence) - scary.

And that stuff with Clinton, we need to make list of other "famous bronies"

I thought that Ponies had Powerpuff Girls style "can hold things without fingers" syndrome. Dolls shouldn't be much of a problem.

Seriously. These ponies are more dexterous with their hooves than I've ever been with my hands. If they can play instruments I think they can handle dolls.
kegisak avatar
#8017
Well, allegedly they can't manipulate things with their hooves beyond a natural level, but between cellos, pianods, and whatever else, I think they let that rule slide from time to time. Probably for the sake of a joke or visual, or just moving stuff along.

Speaking of hooves, have you notcied how you can't actually see anyponies hooves? With the exceptions of Big Mac and Celestia you can only make out little nubs.

Really it's only noteworthy that they try to use the "hooves as hands" cheat a lot less than the last couple of animated series.

A shame, cuz they do try really hard to keep their hooves as actual hooves (I love how they clap by stomping their feet) so it's jarring the few times they cheat

So, I watched my first episode of this. And now I'm watching an episode every few hours or so.

I find the plots and lessons corny, but the gags are great.

And no, you don't need to say it.

We also don't see evidence of hair other than mane and tail. I can akcept this as efect of cartoonish style.

Or maybe ponies are part marshmelows.
