Seeing Grogar and Celestia exchanging beams of massive energy would be so freaking epic that only an 8 episode arc or a film would suffice.

[up][up][up][up]I allready said that still with plenty of adventures. And little more can't hurt (maybe only guys who scream Ruined FOREVER! every time something change). Many fans like the epic episodes (Cutie Mark Crusaders can count as this) and whant more of it (many complains about season finale that wasnt that epic).

I don't say that show need completly shift to only epic adventure show, best it can be something between. Something like pilots, only 20% more cool.

[up]That will be never cool. I don't whant to see all 20 episodes of Celestria and Grogar talking on battlefield and atacking bitween dialogs.

Oh...

Now the image of a musclebound Grogar and an equally-musclebound Celestia are stuck in my mind.

And they are shooting beams.

And shouting on the top of their lungs.

And now exchanging blows.

Oh, crap.

@Kyler Thatch, last page

I always find the talk of "I want more adventure" weird. I know, different strokes for different folks, but the show doesn't seem like it would do well to try and go back to the tone of the first/second episodes.

I know we've been over this a million times already, but now I see that this show is very interesting. I always wondered why this thread is the most popular one in the WA category, and after watching an episode, I can see why. I guess I'm another sucker for this show. tongue

The sad thing about being a late brony is that it's hard to point something new out because It's Been Done.

I was going to say "I think I Colbert Bumped it", but did not want to come off that way.

And I'm not sure how much overlap there is between WA and YF, at least in this thread

Wasn't Brony Herd formed when series was in the air for few months?

I like to think that you and I helped popularize it, because I'm egotistical like that.

I will admit that the sudden influx of pony avatars in my usual hang out is what prompted my to investigate the show.
Because "for the lulz" is a perfectly good reason to do something.

Pony avatars raise my interest but still not to much to check out seroes, horever I remain possitivve about ponies and possiblity of good MLP cartoon.

Like the Touhou fans that have never touched any of the games, and don't plan to.

I guess it was bound to happen eventually.
But apart, all we are is just a pile of mush and some crumbly dry mess...

^^That reminded me of the time last year when I was into a lot of the fan-work, but never considered myself a "fan" of Touhou.

[up][up][up][up][up]No after seeing KYM page for MLPFIM I decided to check this series and rest is history.

(Ok it took week to brony realistiaon)

I don't remember if I started posting here right after that or some time later.

Should I feel bad for laughing at the entire situation?

On much more, er, well-accepted news, who's planning on participating on the upcoming speed writing event?

^^Well that's cleared up.

Also I don't think I can get too worked up about someone changing their name to "Rainbow Dash" or "Fluttershy", however goofy it is.

I have just assumed it was part of the pony moral code or whatever; they clearly expand as much as they need to get hay and oats and apples etc, but they really dont want to kill of cute animals and beautiful trees, so they have turned all nature they control into some kind of park.

I had sort of thought of the world as Equestria, but it is probably better to think of that as "the Pony Principality" or whatever (Celestia is obviously not a QUEEN). Though its ruler is the SUN GODDESS, so you'd assume she has some interest in other parts as well... or maybe not. "Oh, its only PONIES that were created in my image! The rest just sprouted from the primordial ooze..." ;)
Right, so here's what gets to me: If you admit that the ponies do just alter the flow of nature on a whim, then looking at the royal sisters, you have to suspect that the planet wasn't supposed to have 24-hour days, but then somepony forced it to. That must have been a big shake-up back then, right? If you want to see Equestria attacked by an external faction, I could just imagine some other despot from the old days who remembers how the world used to be and rambles things like "We aren't supposed to have these cycles! The little ponies have plunged us into misery! But I'll fix it with my Rainbow of Darkness!"
