Hehe. As much as we rib him for it, I have to admit I also think the mares have a better design. This might be due to the nature of seeing more attention from the animators, but if I made an OC for myself, I'd probably be inclined to make a mare too.

Oh man, totally stoked for the speed writing - hopefully I'll be able to be a part of it. I'm with my parents over the break, so my internet access at any given time is dubious(due to my dad having every right to pop up and say "Scat, I wanna play fallout now").

I like the design of mares better myself - the bulge at the base of colts muzzles, while realistic, looks weird in this style. I've actually made myself a mare OC(though not a self-insert one), but the funny thing is, I like drawing colts better. Because I keep fairly faithful to the original style, but remove the things I don't like, and it's easier to draw colts in a wider range of angles.

Unsure what to do with the Ritardando fic next. Probably going to do a chapter centering on another one of the characters.

Before I go on I'd like to preface this with the "Not Making This Up" Disclaimer.

I was watching "Party of One" on Treehouse this morning. We got to the scene where Pinkie has her mental breakdown and starts talking with her new friends. Well, when Rocky says his line "They're a bunch of losers, " the sound cut out for just a second when he said "losers". And then it happened again three more times. The sound cut out exactly as the word "losers" was suppossed to be said. Though the fourth time it was while all of Pinkie's new friends were talking at once so it was hard to tell. I actually had to watch the clip on youtube to figure out what the word they were saying was. I thought it might have been "jerks".

That's an interesting word to choose to censor.

I can't decide whether the boy ponies look weirder for looking so different from the girl ponies we're used to seeing, or the girl ponies look weirder for looking less like ponies and more like mutant deer. (Maybe it's like, no matter how thin their faces get, their brains still have to bulge out at a certain size.) Oh well, I just tell myself it's still less weird than the G3.5 style.

It's Political Correctness Gone Mad taken Beyond the Impossible.

I was watching it when it aired on Treehouse as well, on two days, Wednesday and Saturday. It's a good thing I'm not the only one that saw that.

It's kind of weird that they let Yo Gabba Gabba get away with The Killers and having some of their shows even say "die" but they aren't allowed to say "losers".

But then again, what can you expect from the same network that airs Friendship is Magic right after Barney and Friends on Sundays (the one reason I avoided the show at first).

If they think that the word "losers" is too harsh for preschoolers to understand, then you think they would've just aired the show on another channel like YTV or Teletoon (which showed the G3 MLP specials)

So it wasn't a fluke. Cause sometimes when I'm watching Dragonball Z Kai on 4Kids the sound cuts out at odd places, definitly an issue with the transmission and not some form of censorship. However if they rebroadcast the episode and still cut out "losers" than it's definitly some kind of X-treme censorship. (Great. Now I have a mental image of a pony version of Johnny Extreme.)

Somebody with recording equipment should get physical evidence of this amazing feat of political overcorrectedness.

The funny thing about censoring the word "losers" is that it makes it sound like they're saying something even worse.
