I was just wondering. Why do we like this show so much. I mean it's not as girly as previous MLP fare, but the elements are still there and many guys I know were outright disgusted by the show. So why is it that so many bronies exist. What makes this show transcend our concepts of manliness etched into us throughout our entire lives? I fuckin love the show, but I sometimes stop mid-episode toask... why?

I watch it because it's good.

That's about it, really.

If I ever ask myself that, it's usually during one of the earlier episodes, and never the later ones.

I think it might have been less, erm, fully-cooked in those days.

On a related note: How long do you think it would take for Dash and Applejack or Dash and TS to cross roughly half of australia. Trying to figure out how long they would be gone to explore the "edge of the world" and get back before ponies worried, and for that matter would would go with Dash.

I can see Ts being curious or ordered by Celestia to investigate a giant magical barrier that existed since before even she could rememeber but AJ has a meeting with someone in a far off town as well, and i just don't like the idea of sending 3, or all 6 on a mission i want to keep it Dash and one other.

It's two gigs. It took me over an hour just to shave away the stuff I wasn't interested in. And there's about three different versions of Avast.

Derpy and Dinky are my favorite background ponies. I'm also fond of Lyra and Octavia.

The first time I saw my favorite mane pony I was probably still incredulous that I was enjoying this show.

I'm not really sure I can say I have a favourite background pony. I think I'd say I like them all about the same.

As for main ponies, since my favourite is Twilight and my first episode watched was the first episode, it went something like this: After the first ten seconds: "Ok, stereotypical bookworm." After the first about minute after the theme song: "Wow, she's kind of an absent minded bitch." But then she discovered the magic of friendship and was a much better pony for it and she grew on me rather quickly.

Oh, geez... Favorite background pony? Well...I always really liked Lyra, but lately I've been really in love with Scratch and Ziggy Stardust, since I've been writing about the two of them.

I sort of have the same problem with the mane cast. I've considered at least three of them 'favorite' so far, so...For Twilight, I was thinking something along the lines of 'wait, two seconds in, and they introduce a huge, super-powerful antagonist?...Cool.' For Rairty, I first thought, 'poncy, fashiony bint. great', and Fluttershy was, of course, 'HHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNGH! So cute!'
