Favorite background pony? Doctor Whooves, no doubt. Although, I've recently started liking Lyra for some reason. Not sure why.

My initial reactions to my favorites? Upon seeing Rainbow Dash, I already thought she was pretty cool, and because of that, she stayed my favorite for a good half of the series. For some really weird reason, though, I kinda wanted her to betray her friends for the Shadowbolts. I really can't explain it, looking back. Although Dash as The Dragon to Nightmare Moon would have been really interesting. Actually, now I kinda want to write a fic about that...

But I digress. My current favorite is Fluttershy. My first thought upon seeing her was as follows "Oh god, she's just like Mikuru Asahina. I can already tell she's going to be completely useless. ...Still that little leg thing she did was kinda cute... and so was her squeaking.... But yeah, totally useless! The only one worse is that Rich Bitch Libby Rarity!"

Yeah, I was a little off, there.

I now count as a brony officially - probably. I was in that state when you are soon to wake up and didnt wanna, when one of my cats, Widdums, jumps up on me. I wake up, shove him off and moan "No, Pinkie Pie, don't DO that!" I have no idea what I was dreaming that made me make that comment, but it must surely be pony-related.

And I think of Rarity as an Ojou, even if she is not rich per se, not a Libby.

Good gravy, I can't pick just one favorite from the background ponies. Though I must confess an... improper sort of attraction for a certain purple schoolteacher...

Fluttershy was my first favorite among the main six, and my first impression was the not unusual squee. Now I'm more of a fan of Applejack, though my first impression was a more unimpressive "ooh, accent..."

I smell a spinoff...

Spinoff with Doctor Whoof, real pony version of Doctor Who series. BTW Octavia have bowtie, bowties are cool ^^^

If I must pick backgroud pony I pick Doctor Whoof (both of them)for males ponies, and for female Derpy Hooves.

From Mane Cast I pick Twilight, allmost every aspect of her character is reason why I like her.

Am I the only one who fucking loves the Wonderbolts? They're like some of the nicest people in the whole show, and despite being Celebronies they aren't pretentious assholes.

Plus Rainbow's reactions to them are adorable

Yeah, the Wonderbolts are pretty decent considering how famous they are. On a more cynical show, Rainbow Dash would have discovered they were jerks or something along those lines.

Just watched the Gala episode, and the infamous Fluttershy scene!

This is only the 2nd full episode of the series I saw, and I'm liking it so far.

I like them to, espacally Spitfire, who is my favorite minor pony.

Gala ep is not good for second watched episode, better watch more or ever all episodes before this.

I'm going to second Death Cloud on that. It's a lot more fun when you know the characters better, but I'm glad you like the show.

Oh, it was most certainly love at first sight with Fluttershy. I still think she easily had the strongest introductory scene in the pilot.

He meant that "The Best Night Ever" worked best in context and with more than a passing knowledge of the characters, not that it's bad or anything.

I saw a guide that ranks each episode by how much they work as introductions to the show in general. I can't find it anymore but I realized it can be extremely useful.

You should at least watch Ticket Master and Art of Dress before.

I like Davenport◊ myself, but that's mostly because I'm the one who came up with his fan name. He looked slightly embarrassed by his store ("Why quills and sofa? What was I thinking?).

I liked the theory that that pony was just really fond of writing while relaxing, and he hoped he could get enough customers to feel the same way.

To be fair, we've only seen two of then and there are at least a dozen.

I was just watching the first episode again and noticed something everypony seems to have overlooked: Young dragons have a means of flying other than their wings

When Twilight meets Rarity, Spike follows the two as Rarity pushes Twilight off screen to give her a makeover, with spike flying, hearts floating from him, his tail spinning like a helicopter blade, keeping him aloft
