I don't dislike the pairing, I just think there are other more interesting pairings that could be done. I just feel like Spike/Rarity would hit a dead end really quickly. I always more of a "childish infatuation" vibe from Spike's crush; something that he'd eventually grow out of.

I don't ship anyone. The only interactions I've seen that look ANYONE thing like a viable romantic pairing is maybe Pinkie and Rainbow.

I've never been able to understand why two characters seriously disliking each other is considered a valid basis for shipping. They couldn't stand each other in that episode!

^To be fair, Rudyard Kipling was about as openly racist as anyone else in... what, 1910s India? Yeah.

I do think it'd be cute, but there are so many issues, not least of which are lifespan, size and aging differences. They'll also never be able to have kids, so Spike will either have to eventually move on or be left alone for hundreds of years after Rarity inevitably dies.
