Yeah, it was Zip's birthday. I think they were a little annoyed they sprung the surprise for the wrong person, though - and Pinkie did give him some cake. =)

Regarding Mac - Granny was outright crying, but Teenage Mac was also tearing up when AJ left.

@Keg: I understand that, It's just that I tend to react a lot more strongly against stuff that could lessen someone else's enjoyment of something. I tend to view gushing more as "hey guys, I really like this and I want to tell you about it so you can enjoy it as well", so it doesn't bug me nearly as much.

Anyway, dropping the matter.

Forget the name, but same person who wrote Ticket Master, if I remember right.

I was just surprised that it was there at all. I mean, of all the shows to use Toilet Humor, I wouldn't have put My Little Pony on the list.

I thought this episode really showed Rainbow's Jerk with a Heart of Gold nature (emphasis on the heart). She obviously really cared a lot about Applejack and making sure she came back. I bet a lot of people are going to overlook that though.

Rainbow Dash also showed some measure of intelligence too. She seemed to deduce that AJ would try to run as soon as AJ made the promise.

Also, I really liked Dashie in this episode. Someone in the Rarity Bronystate stream commented that this was the most Appledash-shippy episode since "Fall Weather Friends".

@Ginger: Rainbow has a cynical side, so she's much less trusting than her friends. Sometimes that can be a good thing. She also didn't buy Rarity's excuse back in Suite and Elite or whatever that ep was called.

RD didn't annoy me at all this episode, but Rarity got like, one line. More or less the same with TS.

Is it just me or has TS sort of been shoe-horned into every episode for a while now? It seems like there should be more focus on her.

@L Mage: Sounds like a good thing to me. Twilight is my 2nd fave, but she had focus for an entire season. I'm cool with them spreading the focus around. Now that we've got some Applejack episodes we need a Fluttershy one to round it out.

I wonder why AJ stopped after crossing the train tracks though. Sure she'd be able to put some distance between herself and them by using the train as a barricade, but generally that only works if you CONTINUE moving.

How long did she think the train was?!
