Here's a question:

Why did they decide it would be easier to catch AJ when two of them were pulling a wagon laden with three of them?

I mean, couldn't they just have sent the fliers to zoom after her from the beginning?

Not the strongest, but look at all the times she placed in that big Equestria-wide rodeo?

There is definitely something to be said for being great in a lot of aspects, instead of simply being unbeatable in one aspect.

I'd really like to see more G1 ponies brought back as wiser, middle aged ponies. Like Fire Fly as a coach at the flight school...Wind Whistler as a weather scientist etc.

I still consider The rodeo an Offscreen Moment of Awesome for AJ, considering the amount of effort she must have put into it.

She also managed to extinguish Pinkie's rage with a loophole and get rid of her.

Also, this confirms AJ as a well rounded jack of all trades pony...that's exactly what I like in my 40k lists.

And she had the brass balls to outrun the train crossing instead of stopping.

Actually, when she was speeding the coach towards the train, I thought she was going to leap off of the coach and onto the train.

I'm actually not sure which one is gutsier.

But remember, she COULD'VE been the best at something had she only taken 1 or two events (like it was implied she had done last year) It was only because of the circumstances why she spread herself too thin this time

@Enlong regarding the carriage thing. I think it would've been too dangerous to send the fliers after AJ in that situation. AJ was stationary on a moving object. If anything came too close she could've bucked them while still maintaining forward momentum. (and in her distraught state, she could've been willing to kick RD) When AJ was forced to run, that was when it became safe for a flier to tackle her, since her legs would have been preoccupied with moving

I kept waiting for Twilight and Rarity to just lift the carriage wheels off the ground. Of course, then we wouldn't have gotten a cool chase scene.

Seriously, that was freaking awesome! I loved the gags, I loved the plot, I loved the Aesop, and I freaking love Applejack!

IT might be hard to catch a moving object. Seems like magic takes a bit of focus.

As soon as AJ sent that letter I assumed she had failed miserably at the rodeo. But then Cherry said she'd never seen anyone win so many ribbons before and I wasn't so sure anymore. Truth be told I think AJ won more total medals than anyone at the rodeo, and probably placed first overall if you'd rank it in a similar manner to the olymics and their medals.

I did like Derpy's role as The Jinx but didn't especially care for her voice. Although if she does get greater focus in an episode I think her voice will be a bit less, um, Derpy. There may be a season 3 episode where her chacrter gets fleshed out a bit more and she'll be a bit more well-rounded and less of a running gag character.

I think the reason why Dash and Fluttershy pulled the cart ogether in the chase scene is because they've known each other the longest and are probably the most "in synch" with each other.

I'm surprised no one's pointed out the shout-out to one of the most well-known scenes in television history.

@Kayeka I think almost everyone exploded over one thing or another, but everyone calmed down faster than usual too.

No one pointed it out because that scene was the preview clip, so everyone had already talked about it.

Actually, I think this was her first time going to the rodeo in Canterlot. Apple Bloom mentioned her running away with the first-prize in local rodeos.

@ Will Keaton: Never seen that scene before. Plus it was in the preview clip we had.
