My headcanon is that AJ could be JUST as good as RD if she had wings

Out of curiosity, why is the concept of "different events challenge athletes in different ways" so hard a concept for the people on this forum to grasp?

She's better than Rainbow Dash in a number of aspects.

Like pure strength, enough to stop a bus that threw Rainbow Dash away when she tried to stop it.

Doesn't make sense to me. Applejack is a really good athlete, but she spends most of her time doing farmwork. Rainbow actually spends most of her time training specifically to become better at flying.

AJ is an amateur who can still compete with professionals, cause she's damn good.

RD is, if not yet professional, a pro in training.

I'm pretty sure that's Badass Abnormal. Or wait, not quite. That's about characters getting an upgrade, not being only slightly more powerful than "normal".

Though, Earth Ponies are very much "normal" in Equestria, so they can still qualify as Badass Normal in my mind.
