The Derpy-colored baby at the beginning is a unicorn. Given that this is the same scene where Mr. Cake explains pony genetics, this could be a Dinky fanon reference, though I wouldn't be surprised if it's just a coincidence. Do we know if the show's staff know about Dinky fanon?

Have their been other occasions of that happening? If so I say go for it (though it would probably need a different name).

I have no idea if anything like this ever happened before. But what's wrong with the name? It fits in perfectly with Word Of God and Word of Dante.

Who knows about why they went to Rainbow Dash. I mean she certainly put in a lot of effort to help Applebloom find her cutie mark, so maybe she is not that terrible with kids *shrug*.

@ Enlong: True we haven't seen her with an actual foal. But she is easily distracted. And I don't think she'd handle a foal's dirty mannerisms very well.

Yeah, Rainbow's great with kids. Scootaloo, Snips, Snails all those kids love her.

His explanation is the truth. He just stammers a good deal, you've seen him in other scenes.

Since when is "easily distracted" a major trait for her? Getting her priorities mixed up in Sweet and Elite is a bit different.

I just think he isn't fully clear on how it works. He rattled off an explanation to the best of his knowledge, and suddenly realizes he's not sure if that makes sense.

@ Enlong: Well off the top of my head, she got distracted from Twilight in favour of gushing over Canterlot in the first episode. She was distracted from her role in The Return of Harmony by a diamond (before being Discorded). She was distracted from Twilight's dress in her Canterlot episode. She was distracted from dealing with the tree in Twilight's house by a minor mess.
