@ Last page person who said humans are physically pathetic.
Ah, fuck, this has NOT been my intention...*rubs forehead*

So long as a human runs at an average speed that's faster than the speed that whatever animal they're chasing breaks into a trot at, we can run anything down. It's because for nearly everything else, anything above a walking pace is extremely energy-inefficient, and almost nothing can dissipate waste heat like we can, what with the hairlessness and the sweat glands and the slender build. So early hunters just chased whatever animal until it collapsed from exhaustion or overheating.
LOL, sorry. I just like how Humans Are Special in ways most people think we aren't so I tend to bring it up whenever I get an excuse.

Thought of that. I'm totally bringing a pepper spray to Equestria if we all ends there. I don't want no stalkin' of mah little ponies !

Another ability that helped early hunters were their ability to throw things. Masai tribe's warriors in Africa, with some modifications in the spears, are alleged to be able to throw spears through lion's hide.
Fuck, I am a heavy believer of Humans Are Special and getting barraged by elementary facts are frustrating. :/

@Dhana: Don't worry, I won't harass them. I just want to make some friends and maybe if I'm lucky get some hugs and/or cuddling :3
From what I understand, the ability to throw is a unique adaptation to apes because it utilizes the same muscles we used to swing from branch to branch in our tree-dwelling days.

Although humans would be able to follow pegasi around until they give up for obvious reasons. I think ponies wouldn't have an issue getting rid of a human, though. All they have to do is threaten a stern bucking (I don't know about you, but even a 3.5 foot pony's buck would probably break something and I'd back off if they threatened that).

Most humans would probably be able to dodge it, through. Plus, it doesn't seems like those ponies are as heavy as ours, if you can lift them over you head you probably won the fight.
Kinda like turning a turtle on her back.

I wonder if I would be able to ride on an Equestrian pony.

I certainly wouldn't want Applejack bucking me. I'm fairly sure she could easily kill someone if she tried.
Wow, the Humanity Is Insane trope page has a lot of stuff I want to read on it.
Probably, the Earth Ponies at least are almost certainly strong enough to hold an average human.

I know I wouldn't try. It must be a tad humiliating for the pony :s
Finally a voice of reason! (I would have done it earlier, but since I'm...you know...batshit, it would have benn weird)

It's always hilarious how these questions of meeting each other always comes down to who can win in a fight. I doubt it will come to that (at least initially).

Can they handle 180 lb and above?

Humans are plain better warriors and soldiers because we are more combat-oriented than many species. we have predator's eyes, a deceptively powerful frame, and are very inventive when it comes to weapons and tactics.
Still, I wouldn't fight Equestrian ponies unless I well and truly ran out of options, and I'd still take surrendering to them over fighting them, and would greatly prefer nonlethal takedowns.
Besides I like them too much, I'd rather make friends with them.
@Dhana: I suppose it depends on the pony, some of them may not object to carrying someone.
That's just who we are. Given some of the stuff we've seen them lifting and moving around, certainly. I mean, even Rarity was able to lift Tom.

Twilight only let Spike ride her because he's her little brother and wanted to be Rarity's hero. I don't know about if you could find a more accomodating pony, but I would say that the large majority of ponies would refuse outright.
Nor would I ask them, personally. It seems humiliating.
Can you think inside the chimney?
#64768d RoyThu, 5th Jan '12 9:45:44 AMfrom behind you
It was a more of matter of can or cannot.
I wonder how tall they are.
Who's Tom?

@Red: I remember AJ carrying 'Bloom at one point, so it's more like they'd only let somepony they trust aboard.

About the whole riding the ponies issue:
How tall are them anyway ? I get the feeling I would almost be able to touch the ground sitting on their back...

Every indication says about three and a half to four feet, give or take.
#64775d RoyThu, 5th Jan '12 9:53:14 AMfrom behind you
I doubt that they would reach average adult male's hip.
