It'd be interesting to have a sly punch-in of continuity.

We still getting streams and YT uploads this weekend?

Oh yes, pagetopper LIKE A FAUST

Uh, guys?

You do know that a spider monkey is a real animal, right?
I have a message from another time...

What, does anyone not?

Hmm...if human were to be portrayed primarily as a carnivore...maybe monsters that tend to tear up their preys with both jaws and limbs?

I don't think we would make a particularly interesting mythological creatures. Either that or my imagination totally sucks.

Humans are creepily-hyperintelligent super-predators who have a virtually unlimited bag of tricks for catching their prey, mwahahahaaaaa.

[up][up][up]Yeah, but the name cracks me up.

[up][up]Some kind of mix between an Ogre and a druid I think. A dangerous, unpredictable being that happens to actually be very wise.

[up]Yeah, something like that.

But how would they associate those specific quality into one being?

[up] Being wise...what are some mythological beings that are renowned for intelligence?

Should I be ashamed to admit that I did not, in fact, know this?
The end of the world as we know it. Like weekends usually are, but more dire.

Damn right, you should.

In many folktales, usually more dimunitive animals are associated with intelligence. Usually, mythological beings tend to be result of exaggeration of existing animals' quality. For example, snake shedding skins are translated into immortality in some mythologies. It is usually rare for those to result in physically dimunitive beings.

I'm sorry for bringing Elder Scrolls stuff into here, but how do you guys think the Elder Scrolls games would be, with ponies? Like how all would the names change and stuff?

I would like an RPG for the ponies, something simple like adventuring to find something from the past.

@ Last page person who said humans are physically pathetic.

That's just plain wrong. Hands are nothing to sneeze at, we have the ability to get crazy strong for our size, and we're the best long distance runners on the planet.

Twilight would love to play text-based adventures.

...Does Unicorn Arcane Markup Language include scripts for running a text adventure on a scroll?

[up]We're disproportionately strong, agile, better at stamina running (with training), and plain better at learning and using tools. We can also eat plant material ponies would be terrified to try, like those crazy peppers with Scoville ratings making them look like mace.

I want to see a humans in equestria story where Dash or Applejack challenges them to a race, and easily beats him, then accepts a challenge to see who can run the farthest. evil grin

Yeah, humans have 3 pretty big advantages that combined into a Game Breaker:

1. Larger brains (I'm assuming the ponies have similar mental capacity, so that doesn't count as an advantage)

2. Opposable thumbs (other primates have them as well, but combined with #1 it allows the creation of more complex technology in a shorter time frame; I'm guessing that a combination of this and the prevalence of magic is what keeps the Equestrian tech level so comparatively low.)

3. Endurance (the earliest hunters simply followed animals around until the animals got too tired to run away. No reason to think that humans wouldn't have that advantage over ponies as well)

[up]Yup. A human in top physical condition can run a long way without stopping. In this day and age with cars and such you don't see it as much, but back when people had to walk/run everywhere...

I was more talking about in mythological point of view, not general biology. What I was saying that human wouldn't really make a particularly interesting mythological creatures, considering that ponies are quite intelligent on their own.

Oh, and human can throw things too. I've never heard of animals doing javelin! grin

Plus we can't count out the fact that Humans Are Insane, able to think up plans and/or willing to do things that would be either completely unthinkable to a pony or just flatout WRONG to them. Not to mention a much greater willingness to kill ourselves for a greater good.

He can last longer, but he has no chance at a speed competition.

In fact, before we invented long-ranged weapon, we would just follow a herd of animals for kilometers until some of them fall, too tired, and we could easily slaughter them.

It would be fun to have a marathon with the ponies, just to walk past them as they try to get steady xD

EDIT: Damn, ninja'ed so much ><

Okay, now I'm worried a more obssessive brony would try to outrun one of the ponies to make them easy prey once they're too tired to escape.
