To me, it seems like Equestria is a pretty open place. Even though the ponies do indeed run everything, I'm sure they wouldn't object to a few cow towns here and there.
I would find it more likely that the cows enjoy being drifters, not tied down to one place. I am not one of those people that thinks Celestia loves planning executions, as humorous as that may be.
...Rainbow Dash definitely hands out secret lesbian training, though.

I can't believe I forgot that mules are half-donkey, half-horse, and mostly infertile. I guess it might be understandable for them to be considered unattractive if they're less likely to reproduce.

Well, it's a given that they reproduce somehow. I just thought it was one of the things people weren't supposed to elaborate on, especially not using scientific terms.

Well, I have this preconception that considering nonmagical methods of reproduction for ponies is going to lead to Rule 34 one way or another.

Hell, I think that's pretty much the whole reason behind any of the memes in this fandom. Over-analyzing stuff made for kids is fun.
and on that note...waaay back up, I don`t really like to think of Celestia as being a tyrant either, it`s just kinda fun to joke about...although one does have to question her teaching meathods after seeing this...
