In the meantime, this cracked me up a bit too much.

Also this.

Not sure I get the 'go home and be a family mare' thing. I guess it's a street fighter reference?

Anyways, the trombone thing was pretty cool. I'm actually kinda surprised there aren't more remixes and stuff of that episode, now that I think about it.

The difference between complaining and whining was the best part of the latest episode.

[up]Okay, that's it. THIS is the episode that has totally won me over. They KNOW the difference between the two, that's a fricken' HUGE accomplishment!

I just went and watched it off of my DVR (which started recording from Stare Master onwards), and it was pretty good. Expanding Spike's fantasies towards Rarity was hilarious.

Though once I saw Rarity bothering the DD I knew what was going to happen. Still enjoyable.

Is this out on Youtube yet? I'm getting impatient.

If Sapphire Shores appears in a future episode, I bet Vinyl Scratch will be her DJ. :D

Wow, that was an amazing episode. The best me and my girlfriend have seen yet.

Brilliant writing, Lauren Faust. Brilliant writing.

This one was pretty great. The damsel in distress and knight in shining armor tropes are some of my favorites to see played with.

But, c'mon. Do we really need to be teaching girls that being whiny gets you what you want? (I guess they're not entirely wrong there, but still.)

I did think it was pretty clever of her to use the slowdown tactic used in strikes.

I loved the whack-a-mole scene, and Rarity making the diamond dogs miserable was priceless. Also, the second time we got a Big "NO!" from Spike leading into a commercial break amused me more than it had any reason to.

Spike was just all-around hilarious in this episode, really.
"Adventure" is just a fancy word for "near-death experience".

(I have an avatar now. Happy?)

Yeah, Spike was pretty great.

I can actually really sympathize with his indulgence in his heroic knight fantasy.

The humanoid Spike was disturbing, but I guess it's a necessary part of the joke.

Actually, I wasn't really getting a 'whine to get what you want' vibe from this. I can definitely see how that could come across, but I think it's more to the point of 'work with what you've got'. The surface plot just kinda clouded over the moral, like feeling pinkie keen, I guess.
