They've got Luna's VA back.
Now all we need is Weird Al

I'm hoping they Luna a more relaxed version of Celestia: She has a job, but doesn't mind just being out there and meeting people. Realistically, she's only really required from sunset on, Celestia and Luna don't appear to require sleep, and Luna isn't really that much older than the main cast. In fact, when she reverted from being Nightmare Moon, she actually appeared to became younger than she was as Nightmare Moon, suggesting when she became Nightmare Moon she stopped aging as Luna.
Plus, she also has a thousand years to catch up on.

"You're my favourite Princess ever!"
I would love it if they used some of the different persona's for her I've seen in fan art~
But, no matter
what they do with her, I'll probably like it~
"Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time..."
If Lauren Faust read
Progress, they could make her naivete a
Running Gag.
Tick Tock, goes the clock/ He cradled and he rocked her/ Tick Tock, goes the clock/Till River kills the Doctor.
Her progress personality really seems like a good idea - it would be kind of nice to see a more serious foil for Celestia, but not a really stodgy one. Plus, her shyness makes her compore to Fluttershy in terms of sheer unflitered cute.
Mind rape to the Nth power

She was jealous, she acted out, she got punished, she acted out again, she got owned, she got over it. I don't see why she has to have a split personality or anything.
Because "for the lulz" is a perfectly good reason to do something.
Because Nightmare Moon =/= Princess Luna.
Her childish jelousy manifested as a different personality entirely. Compare Luna after she's freed to Nightmare Moon. There is no relationship.

That may be because her bigger body had just got Harmony-blasted off of her.
Because "for the lulz" is a perfectly good reason to do something.
Power corrupts. What started as a childish wish turned into a massive cluster fuck. Take MY word for it, there was a reason Luna acted the way she did when Celly appeared after she was freed. Luna wanted love. Nightmare Moon wanted power. The difference is black and white.

Unless someone was doing that Lord of The Rings thing with Sauramon and that old king though, it was still her.
Because "for the lulz" is a perfectly good reason to do something.
Being
Brought Down to Normal (or as normal as a goddesss can be) by six random ponies probably did wonders to her perception on things.
Because "for the lulz" is a perfectly good reason to do something.
We'll most likely find out in the second season, but, her transformation is easily explainable if you look at the show's title. Magic.
A Unicorn Did It.

This wasn't a
Heel Reailzation. This was a pony being freed from an evil corruption. Remember the opening narration? She was TRANSFORMED. Not BECAME, or CALLED HERSELF.
Its in the language. Saying she was 'transformed' implies that there may be an element of unwillingness in what happened to her.

Or it could mean she went from
<— this
to the bigger darker form. There is another show on the Hub where characters transform all the time willingly.
